To elaborate on this a bit:
This would also allow people who have their DoM/W jobs past 30 to experience the content of the Lv30 dungeon, while keeping the difficulty at an appropriate level. Loot should remain ~30 regardless of the scale of the mobs, though.
which is again why i suggested they implement the scaling system that leves have in them
its already in game so they can adjust the new dungeons to use that system alot easier then coding in something completely new
and higher level characters can get the challenge out of the dungeon in the process without having their ranks lowered
and thats with gear aside
and again, as always, it promotes the ability to choose how you want to do it

its funny how many are against the caps but everyone mentions being excluded and ive seen and posted a lot of posts explaining that they are NOT excluded but only scaled down in their lvl temporarily. I prefer helping friends or other people if i have a challenge and fun the 60 min it takes instead of rushing through, im bored since no challenge and the new people or the lower people i help are bored since they just see someone AOE the crap out of the mobs and the instance is done and everyone is... thats it?
its the opinions of those in the forums
go into the game and talk to anyone who doesnt have a 50 what they think
most of them will say they dont care about it being capped(as they had been to me all morning when i talked to alot of my friends in there about it)
its the forum addicts who play alot who want it
the ones who want it like cop was(i loved cop, but that doesnt mean we need a repeat of it)

if you give a child the choice to go to school or play all day and eat chocolate... what do you think our society will be like by now? Its exactly the same about mmos.which is again why i suggested they implement the scaling system that leves have in them

and again, as always, it promotes the ability to choose how you want to do it
if they want it easy they will take it easy
if they want a challenge they can have their challenge
they get what they want, not what they are forced to have that way

i dont expect much out of a rank 25 dungeon so i dont care if there is a cap. I have no desire to plow through it and grab myself a bunch of low lvl gear. The other dungeon is 45-50. so the lvl cap works as a cap and im fine with that. i dont see the point in getting bent out of shape over some low lvl content.
a level cap has nothing to do with repeating cop. Its just a way of keeping content playable for a longer time and keep the difficulty up for everyone, no matter what lvl. Just because it was a feature in ffxi doesnt make it bad.its the opinions of those in the forums

And this feature won't turn ffxiv any closer to ffxi.
The scaling system would only work if it autoscaled to your party, or the highest member, or perhaps the average member,
but that would need much more complex balancing.
