Join in progress feature in DF.

Why is it that when I tick Join in progress because i want to join in progress I get invites for new pt? Perhaps some people may want to join new pt but please could the feature be so if it is new party only if the join in progress is left unchecked or maybe there could be two checkboxs, one for new party and one for party in progress.

And how many would pick the "start a new party" instead of the "Join party in progress only" option if it exsisted? (hint: no one lol)

In other words, it doesn't make sense to have "Join only parties in progress". Because then no one would be STARTING parties...

The tick is there to verify the player agrees to also join parties in progress, not to make sure he joins party in progress only.

"In case someone is stuck in a duty missing party members I don't mind helping them"

even so people will still complain : Why can't I join just to roll for loot and kick everyone so I get everything?

so when you are in duty and somebody leaves you would rather go through the rest of the duty without a replacement? i think not... also more often than not the replacement would have cancelled about 8 or 9 opportunities to start from the beginning.

There are plenty of people who want to start from the beginning to get the loot of the first boss, if somebody drops after boss one plenty of people would want loot off boss 2 and so on. How many people want to fight the same bosses that dont drop the item 15 times to get to a last boss for him to not drop it again? hint: no one lol

Boss 1 and 2 in CT take what? 15 minutes to complete? Tanks, which seem to be the only role that complains about the JiP feature get instant queues most of the time. So, to get to the point you want to be, it will take you 15 to 20 minutes. DPS have to wait for the queue to pop for 30+ minutes before starting at the beginning.

Seriously, just do the whole dungeon and stop complaining. If you're ok with an in progress group, tick it off and click to join. Declining 50 times in a row because you only want the last boss is annoying for everyone else trying to start a new group. If the DPS can wait for 30+ minutes for a pop, then you can spend 15-20 clearing the first 2 or 3 bosses.

not conflicting if you don't just cut small segments from the whole statement. anybody can edit other peoples posts to make them look foolish. The point is plenty of people start from the beginning and don't complete the dungeon. People just seem to be missing the point. Some people want to join in progress so they do tick the box but get endless new parties. This isn't some kind of troll thread... it is a serious issue where when people tick in progress and 90% of these parties are not in progress.
