and now we see that the level cap raise will come at the first expansion pack...
i feel perplexe by this choice, i can understand that new player just did begin the game and that they want to forget the v1, mostly because it was a catastrophe, but legacy/v1 player are still there... we are into this game (for some) for more of 3 years now...come on! is not a new game!
I know where you are coming from. I’m a Legacy player myself. I’ve only leveled half of my classes to 50 (i’m including the DoH and DoL too), but almost all of my Battle Classes are 50. However, with my current in-game “schedule” i’m too busy to level up the remainder of my classes. At least for the upcoming months.

But, think of it this way. Right now, each major Content Update will either give us access to new Crystal Tower or Coil “Turns”. If SE would, for instance raise the Level Cap to 60 with 2.3 around June/July, would you have enough content to comfortably level up your class(es) to 60, without getting the grind of doing the same Dungeons/FATE’s/Dailies over and over again?

Wouldn’t it be better if the game would have a “Massive” amount of new content in a new region of Eorzea, were you can Level from 50 to 60 with new Classes & Jobs, New Main Story Line Quests, New Side Quests, New FATEs, several new Dungeons, a new Raid (like Coil) and several new “floors” of CT? That’s what usually happens with an Expansion Pack.

I don’t think they will be able to generate enough content to keep players satisfied in the level range of 50 to 60, if they were to raise the Level Cap before the 1st Expansion.

That is why the other classes don't have 2 jobs right now. But they have said they have been working on the job system so equipping the job will change the Base classes skills and we would get them as soon as they work out all the bugs of doing so.
The example they game was gladiator 2nd job would be Dark Knight as a DD and that equipping DK would remove all the increased enmity portions of gladiator's attacks and replace them with something appropriate for a DD like a damage buff.

You hate content that much? They can only do so much with the vanilla areas...lol. Then again since the world is meaningless and everything is in an instance...yeah we don't really need expansion packs.
