last week i started a post similar to this but RL caught me in the pants before i could finish so i am going to try again.
So I asked my self what kind of MMO I would make if I had the skill set to make one and this is what I came up with... so far
Characters-------------------
Races--
1. Human
2. Elf
3. Lala
4. Mithra
5. Undead
6. Lycan
7. goblin
8. Constructs
9. Trolls ( Hidden race GM's can turn jerks / bots / RMT into. Incoming PVP damage enabled / outgoing disabled )
Jobs--
each character can be all Jobs. More jobs added later
1. Warrior
2. Thief
3. Bard (FFXI)
4. Ranger
5. White Mage
6. Black Mage
Job Change – like FFXIV but tied to Soul Crystals not weapons. Allows for easier introduction of new jobs without limiting weapon type to single jobs OR people to unlock new jobs that are instantly at max level.
Levels-----------------------------
1 – 99 + Master Level
-Levels require exponentially greater amounts of time and skill to level per Job. Levels are MILESTONES not GATES to content.
Master Level is acquired only through completion of very difficult content throughout the entire game world. Requires that all Job skills be maxed out on Merit Points.
-Unlocks ALL spells / abilities / Skills of Master Level Job for use with other jobs once completed.
-Unable to delevel during master class level but death will cost game currency or 5%-10% exp loss.
-Ability to Mentor multiple players, gaining extra EXP/coin while in the same party with apprentices (larger the level difference the greater the EXP/coin bonus). Name of your mentor / apprentices viewable in character information (other players will know who your mentor and apprentices are)
Bonus EXP from Mentor-ship can be assigned to your choice of job or be used to progress Master level EXP bar. This is to encourage people to help others on their higher level Jobs,
-Progress on Master Level EXP bar is very very slow. You are a Paragon of your Job type and YOU DID NOT just trip over exp to get to Max level.
Level 1 – 20 will be tutorial levels outlining the core mechanics of the Job. Introduces Dungeon areas and other group content at level 10+.
EXAMPLE: Exp grind parties / Questing / Open world and instanced Dungeons
Level 21 – 99 Raiding and other traditional END GAME and advanced group content introduced. Guilds / Free Companies / Linkshells will be the focus here. Take your entire FC /LS into a raid zone capable of allowing 64+ members to participate.
