    Leveling as a DPS

My first class I leveled was a Gladiator/Paladin, easy enough as I can just simply spam dungeons, quests and fates

My second was a conjurer/white mage, same story though lacking quests

However, I have no idea how to level a DPS

Ques are 10x longer, fates aren't nearly as interesting as I already did every single one multiple times and they basically died out since the dungeon buff, and the hunting log and class quests can only go so far

Is there something I'm missing because I cannot figure out an efficient way to level a DPS class

Yeah, I am kinda in the same boat right now on an alt. Daily roulette forms the bulk of my experience, shored up with FATE and Leve Quests.

I know how ya feel. I got 50 in war, pal, whm, sum/sch, and bard and now am working on the last 3 classes.

Do fates, leves, roulettes, dailies in between dungeon queues.

For fates, try to find teh zoens where less people do fates period, as those fates will be easier. if the fate is not soloable, wait till timer is down to last minute and just do as much damage as you can. you still get decent exp for failures.
For leves, always do the maximum difficulty.

when in dungeon verbally request to kill everything for exp. most people are ok with this.

    Key things for certain dungeons:
Haukke: you can't open every door. make sure to save a key for the last door, there are 4 extra mobs in there for exp.
Brayflox: make sure to explore all the hidden areas, as mobs will spawn on the gobbies. extra exp.
Aurum Vale: let the seedlings hatch. you get exp for the seedling hatching, then like 15x more exp for killing the spawn. this equates to about an extra 60k+ exp per run.

always do your low level and guildhest roulette for the jobs your levelling.

if your absolutely out of stuff to do inbetween even fates, find the highest level mob that drops sellable goods in the down time near a fate spawning area. atleast make some gil while your at it.

if yo do this it won't be too bad. About 3 weeks ago my bard, monk, dragoon, and blm were level 20, 20, 20, and 26. Now their level 50, 44, 41, and 40. I estimate in about 3 weeks they'll all be 50, so it's definately
    doable with some planning.

There's some good leves around. Costa Del Sol in particular has two you can complete pretty regularly for decent XP

Sadly though you missed the boat, the changes to leveling up in 2.1 really hurt DPS. Nothing's gonna be quite as smooth as your other alts were.

Really? I leveled a BLM in 2.1 and it was pretty easy. Easier than I did my BRD before 2.1

This is untrue. Every single door can be opened. The most common key to be missed is in the little side room in the hall right before the first boss.

if it's anything helpful, as a dps you present a very real possibility of doing good DPS, reducing time spent to obtain exp. Although you may not view this as a fait tradeoff, it is somewhat of a tradeoff. The best way i find is to help out your FC mates, and they could help you back. i have only 3 more classes to get to 50 (BLM,MNK,CNJ) so I've really seen what can be done as a DPS. Roulettes have already been said a number of times as well. Always eat your food it's a massive difference in the end.

Start your own "multiple runs" party finder groups for low level dungeons instead of waiting on Duty Finder.
And grind fates while you wait for members.

leveling a dps is much slower than leveling a tank. Try to get some friends to come with you to do things

i actually spam leves a bit. its slow but theres not as much down time
