    AK & WP ilvl Sync

    It's bad enough that they're cram packed with repetitive amounts of trash mobs around every possible corner, the ilvl sync is just overkill. I'm sure there's been threads about this many, many times before, especially back when it was first introduced, but it's nothing but an annoyance now.

    I'd love to farm them for pieces for glam, that's the only reason to even do them to begin with at this point in the game, but it's just repetitive, boring, and the amount of trash in each of them just feels as if they never end. It's literally keeping me from ever wanting to queue for them.

    Why are they even ilvl synced anyway? Is tome farming the worry? If that's the case, you can speed run Garuda HM in less than 5 minutes. Hell you can do Extreme just as fast with a good enough group. And if Soldiery is the worry, nowadays you have more soldiery than you have things to spend it on.

    So SE, can you please consider removing these item level syncs, or at least cut back on the amount of trash you guys crammed in to prevent speed running back in the day?

    I'm pretty sure they already considered it and their putting the ilvl sync was their way of saying "nope"

    Although, the whole system is going to get reworked come Heavensward, so just hold your chocobos.

    I would love to say it's to help low ilvl tanks do their jobs better.

    But then we have Praetorium and Castrum, where there is no ilvl sync and fresh 50 tanks jump right in moreso than in AK and WP.

    Either the ilvl sync on 50 dungeons needs to be removed, or Castrum and Praetorium need ilvl syncs. it's inconsistent with how they are now.

    I'd rather they lower the item levelsync, and scale it so that all the ilevel syncs are 20 ilevels higher than reward gear in the dungeons. That would make them more like they were intended instead of this faceroll nonsense. Castrum and Praetorium get's way too redicious without any iLevelsync and it probably should have one.

    Or compromise. Allow queuing with or without the ilevelsync, and there is no gear rewards for queuing without the ilevelsync. ilevelsync-less would be used for all the relic-quest stuff.

    I don't understand the hate for it other than nerfing your strength. I done a few dungeons with the ilvl sync and it doesn't really feel much different. Things still die pretty damn fast.

    The newer dungeons that aren't capped the mobs have more hp so it feeling different is just perspective. They'd die a heck of a lot faster uncapped at i130 than they do at capped 110. The dps math is as the dps math does.

    Well... i know people love to speed run stuff quicker but...
    If a i110 sync is going to prevent you from speed running in anyway, you got much more issues than that level sync.

    Used to speed run that shit in i90, just saying

    Plus, they actually removed shit tons of mobs from AK

    The good old days of speedrunning WP in Darklight ten times in a row to cap your weekly mythology >_> this was before roulette and all and the cap was still 300

    Because unless you're a premade group, it doesn't always work like that. You can speed run the hard mode versions of them as well just as quickly (If not just a few extra minutes), but again, it's likely because you either have a premade group, or so happened to get into one with a tank that isn't scared to pull more than 1 pack at a time, and 2 DPS who are nukes.

    In duty finder however, it isn't always like that. It is so easy to get i120+ gear nowadays, getting your ilvl over 110 isn't hard at all even for new people if they're smart about how they're gearing up. (I'm in an FC full of people who are new to 50)

    The restriction only slows things down more than it needs to for regular DF groups. Get a fresh DPS still wearing artifact and a GC weapon, and the dungeon suddenly starts to feel longer than even the newer dungeons. Not only can that make people NOT want to queue for them (Ontop of them already being pointless to run outside of relic stuff or glam), it just turns it into a slow drag that not even your stats can help speed up.

    I've played since 2.0, I know the days of WP speed running, AK speed running before SE tried to stop it, all of that. But those speed runs were only ever done in premade groups with heavy DPS (Bard and BLM combo) and a Tank/Healer who could survive the mass pulls. In DF groups, the runs weren't so fast at all.
