    Viridiana: I responded earlier to you, I actually enjoy leves as well, I'm just opposed to people picking and failing the same ones to shoot to 50, especially when no real "end game" exists, Also, it's your game so play however you want of course! It's crazy, I was totally nice, and I wasn't rude, but the mod hit the whole paragraph with the modstick (see above, 2nd paragraph, the part to darkstar was hilarious though)

    I feel that the system is horribly broken. SE wants to foster meaningful party play, but they don't give us the means to do it. I'm glad that they're looking into rebalancing leves, but unless they give us the option to choose from a set of leves, rotate the same leves every reset (a la dailies in WoW), or just plain nerf the linking bonus, it won't do much good. Because the issue is that statics want to do the same leves with each other to get the max bonus in as little time as possible. I know the forced-random was probably intentionally put in place so that a party would get lots of leves and keep the link-bonuses from skyrocketing. But, since people have found a workaround, they seriously need to rethink the system.

    Now... I'm not looking to pass judgement, here, just answer the question of who else won't fail leves (so, no flaming please).

    I would drop a party if they wanted me to fail leves. In my opinion, it's a form of power-leveling. In FFXI, if someone in our party brought along a high-level healer to stand outside and heal, I would give them the option of telling their friend to take a hike, or I bailed. As a WHM, I turned down money at least once a week from people begging me to power-level them. It's something I will not do.

    I will not participate in leve-failing, even if it means I take another six months to get to cap. It's about the journey, not the destination. If I wanted to play a game where I strutted around with a gaggle of characters at level-cap, I'd be playing WoW.

    Besides, it's not like there's any end-game to look forward to at this point.

    Please, SE, fix this!

    Meh, I'm sure we can both agree that, no matter what, people will always find the quickest way to level. Just so happens that the quickest way at the moment is leaps an bounds faster than the competition. Unless they universally nerf everything (cue ragefest), the best option will always look like people "shoot(ing) to 50." 'Course, I think we can also both agree that the leve system needs a lot of work, overall. If this feature gets "fixed," I'd consider this to be the minimum other stuff that needs to get fixed, too:

    1) Disconnect no longer auto-fails the leve. (Also, wth is with the 10 minute d/cs?)
    2) Leves balanced enough that I don't look at Devilet's Best Friend with utter disgust.
    3) No retrying failed leves (hence #1).
    4) All leves available to be picked from, but still limited to 3 selections per camp. Kind of a mix between the current regional and local systems.

    This way, we'd've gotten rid of the 2xDNA groups, while still allowing statics to be nearly as leve-link efficient as they are now. Also, there wouldn't be as much bias against the non-DNA leves, because those would at least still be good SP. Lastly, point #1 heads off the complaints about losing great rewards for leves just because the game crashed or the internet died. . .

    Well, if you read further into my post I said that they could also balance leves to give roughly equal amounts of sp. That would also allow people to pick up leves in different locations too and spread out the population.

    Edit: This is just quick fix ideas. But I would really like the whole system re-examined.

    I think people should be able to play to their own style, some people love leves and some hate them, but I don't think they are a problem; they're fine as they are
