2k at the most for rank 40 completion.you wont even have to find the best
if the bonus for completion is good enough, perhaps just doing 8 leves per cycle at 40 in general will be all that matters(the mob sp you get beyond that will just be added onto it of course)
i still believe the link bonus isnt being overly nerfed, even at 50% of it lost, that isnt even close to a majority of the sp per kill(its closer to 25% of the mob sp if you take 50% of the link bonus away)
amd how much or little do you think the completion bonus will be? especialy if it scales with the leve rank

Well, at the very least no one's going to want to fail them, so you won't get the same leves every round, although some may be better. I prefer this system much more than what's currently implemented.
EDIT: Yikes if it's only 2k people might still fail them in some attempt to optimize SP gainI was hoping it would be on par with a percentage of sp obtained in the leve.

Yeah, 2k wouldn't be enough to dissuade abandoning. Not by a long shot. I don't think a full-linked Deviliet's Best Friend, even killing all 4 groups, plus a 2k bonus, could compare to even an un-linked Dunes. If they're serious about getting us to finish them, the bonuses have to actually be worth it.
But they can't just do it percentage-based, or the best ones just get better.Well, at the very least no one's going to want to fail them, so you won't get the same leves every round, although some may be better. I prefer this system much more than what's currently implemented.

How can people prefer something they haven't even seen yet? It is like the idea of an ice cream flavor you will want to taste good that you create in your mind, but in reality, it will probably taste bad and you will be upset and want your old ice cream flavors back.

While your ice cream analogy is quite clever, when I said "this" I was referring to the system laid out in the letter, something like this:
"In light of guildleves’ repositioning as solo-oriented content, leve link bonuses will be reduced. To make up for this reduction, skill points will be added as a new reward for the benefit of solo adventurers.
At the same time, the objectives of certain guildleves will be adjusted in order to accommodate a system in which difficulty and completion time influence your reward. For example, completing a high-difficulty levequest in a short amount of time will yield greater rewards. Through this we hope to encourage skillful adventuring."
I just thought I'd comment on that since failing leves and having a completion bonus directly tie in with one another, so I thought I'd stay on topic, instead of new schemes to score uber sp with another lame trick.
Unless you're imagining ice cream that tastes like dog crap, it's better than the current leve system man.
Where'd the 2k number come from?
I'm allergic to effort.
