Possibly moving to Sargatanas

Thank you for the warning, I've already tested latency to the server during peak/off-peak times to make sure. I'm based in England and the latency to the JP server I'm currently on sits around 270ms average. The move to Sargatanas or any other NA/EU Legacy server would reduce that to approx 90ms, yet another major reason to move!

Statement: South America doesn't have the infrastructure running to North America that Europe does, so the latency will be higher. Also: Hai Silky!

Statement: OP, Legacy has GMT and JST statics that multiple clear Turn 5 weekly and this one knows of several other FCs that do as well. Last I checked Eminent (-EMI-) was actively recruiting GMT players.

Thank you for all the positive replies again everyone. Certainly bolsters the argument in favour of moving to Sargatanas!

One friend just needs a little more convincing from myself then we hope to set a date for the move across. I'll be showing him the thread in hopes that it helps him change his mind. Will hopefully have some good news very soon!!

I'm looking forward to the move myself! Sargatanas seems very friendly so far!

Hehe, good question. We started back in 1.0 playing with a few friends who were currently living in Taiwan. When 2.0 was released our characters were migrated over to Durandal and we stayed there for a while but most of the English speaking players transferred off the server when they opened up free transfers. We decided to stay at the time. A lot more have moved on now and the English speaking population on the server has dwindled quite a lot making it difficult for us to get groups together for most things so the time came to make the decision to move.

That's where we are now!

Sargatanas is good times. I will observe that the PF seems to be on the slimmer side as the NA hours get later (2 am est), so if you're a morning EU person, PF might have less options.

I have never seen a JP only (or any nationality only for that matter) party listed in PF before, so there's a plus.
We're all pretty happy friendly people for the most part.
