Then he trades that money to some characters who hoard it. Then that player tends to distribute the money to people who purchase the gil. If they follow the money they hit the big characters who are hoarding all the cash. This results in a handful of bans removing billions of gil from the economy. Meanwhile, the same bot keeps on botting as SE uses them as their little spy. Getting his RMT stockpile baned left and right.

Everyone thinks SE doesn't care because the bot remains. Seems no one here understands how police informants work in real life. No one cares about the small fry. Use them to get to the big daddy.

That's what I thought, so I wait patiently until today, almost three (3) months since I reported that guy, well he was still hanging around.
I'm not sure if I can put the video link at here since the hacker name clearly shown in the video.

So for those who said SE does care, what's your take on this? I'm just curious what's going on.

SE doesnt care they get paid. All those tell bots ? SE could solve it easily with next to no man power. Write a bot of their own put it in town tell recieved banned instantly. Teleporting farmers not hard to higher 1 intern to jump around in high reported areas do 1-2 servers a day every week clean slate. Its really not hard SE just doesnt care. How do we even know those reports that say x number have been banned are real I can type in random numbers assign them dates and say I did it to doesnt mean it was done. They make their money of them and they dont care enough to lose the thousands of dollars a month they are getting from the cheaters. I know people who have been reported and openly talk about how they bot nothing ever happened to them and its been over 6 months.

lol paying monthly fee. i'm pretty sure a significant amount of those accounts are hacked or paid for with stolen credit card info.

its funny really SE view on RMTs we will slowly work them down when they over populate.
Same tools used for turn 6 on party that didn't even finish turn they just wanted to look at boss. SE view permanent banned for you suckers no waiting around no reports.

The ability to report cheating is for the player reporting's benefit. It makes them think they are accomplishing something... It's the equivalent of writing letters to Santa.

Do you still believe in Santa? SE thinks you do.

I think I'm going to do an experiment where I wipe my blacklist clean, start accumulating RMT advertisers' names and reporting them (but not blacklisting them), and record the next occurrence(s) of their advertising. Then post the results on an external site somewhere for all to see.

In my personal experience, they have not dealt with the vast majority of names I've reported.

Unfortunately this is not a good measure of progress since the RMT themselves delete and remake the character to continue to get past blacklists. A better judge would be to go out to your nearest mining area run right up to a wall and angle your camera so it clips a little through the terrain so you can see the people mining underground report them then check back next week 2 weeks 3 weeks a month later and see if anything has been done. I know several are still doing it that I have been reporting for months.

That isn't true in my experience. If you blacklist a character and they get deleted for whatever reason, it will show as "(Deleted)" in the blacklist. 99.5% of the names I've ever entered into my blacklist remain intact.

SE doesn't delete accounts which are banned. If it says (Deleted) the bot or the account owner who the bot-runner stole the account from, deleted the character themselves.
