If there's one thing CT has done, it has given me a much thicker skin. I used to be sensitive about what other people say in MMOs but not anymore. I almost kind of enjoy all of the trolling now --- it's like watching reality TV but with audience participation.

I think that unless trolls get absurdly hurtful and personal with the insults, reporting to GMs is kind of a strong overreaction.

I used to have problem in CT until I started doing them on Monday/ Tuesday. A lot more experienced people who just wanna get their gear and be done for the week. Quick and easy runs.

Had a 70 minute CT run on Tuesday.

We were constantly kicking people for blatent trolling (pulling bosses when 2/3 of the raid were still running to the area... healers pulling KB and then shouting at the alliance), people constantly leaving any time there was a wipe, tons of insults being thrown all over the place.

It was a mess, but I stuck it out and we made it through.

Most of my party stuck around from the beginning, we just commented on the absurdity in party chat and left the insults to the other groups posting in alliance chat.


Honestly, it was kind of funny.. I spent the first 20 minutes kind of upset, but then the last 40-50 laughing at how absoultely absurd the entire situation was.

I despise people who do this on purpose. You're wasting my time which I consider to be extremely valuable. I have a wife and kids. My game time is extremely precious to me so when tool bags come into CT and intentionally sabotage the raid it makes me seriously pissed off. Of course this is just something that has to be dealt with but I don't understand how peopel could serously have that much disregard for other peoples time.

I usually run with a group of friends from my FC so not usually so bad but I find myself saying over mumble, "this guys a total tool...just heal him I hate wiping more than I hate him atm" or whatever. I'd rather save the raid than let the guy wipe thats being a tool.

Do not go into CT after Tuesday. I usually just grab whatever pops up for one of my three jobs and then wait till reset.

I love it when tanks who just can't hold Giants or KB insist on tanking them...

Not sure how we didn't abandon the run (so glad we didn't, got my Circlet of Light out of the run, and I was clicking no) but 4 wipes to KB because the people who insisted on MTing and OTing couldn't stay alive; MT was a reasonably geared PLD, OT was a well-geared WAR. Eventually, I (an i73 WAR...) went to tank Giants (OT just could not pick it up. No idea how/why), and the other tank in the MT's party took over KB.

We breezed past the fight after that...no Giant running wild through the healers, no MT dying randomly.

CT is as most of you said much better to run on Monday and Tuesday and as early in the day as possible (dont know how that many people are home at that time....hmmmm) I have found most people are good these days at doing it and I only come across bad runs really late a night (after 1am or 2am) or sometimes on Sunday. What I am hating now is the LOOT Droppers...I got my loot, now see you later fools....that just sucks!!! Then we have to wait to have ranks replenished because you are selfish and cannot finish the run. Quitting for a good reason is okay but when someone says, "Got my gloves...see ya!" That is just pure bull dooky.

i dont understand the loot droppers myself.... especially early in the week.... i mean the rewards for CT without a loot draw are still 200 philo/50 myth.... and seeing that everyone is doing CT in excess on mondays and tuesdays..... tat means your myth tomes are uncapped.

There are 4 loot drops.... so unless you got your drop on the Bone Dragon.... you already have invested 30 minutes into the raid by the time the second loot drops. Meaning, why would you leave??? you might as well stay and get your 50 myth tomes... i mean seriously, go queue up duty roullette high level and get your 70-90 tomes, which will take you 15-40 mins anyways. wouldnt it be better to finish the ct run, get your 50, then do your high level roullette and get more??

Or are Myth tomes just not important any more?

Look, yes, CT is bad, especially later in the week. But look, you don't have to read a thing. If they get under your skin that much, ignore your chat window. Plain and simple. Too many people like you like to bring their feelings into the game and it just ends badly.

When last I checked, emotions are an essential part of being human in the first place. If you want feelings kept out of games, you should play with NPCs. Just because it's a game does not give you or anyone else the right to be a disrespectful troll. There is no excuse for such behavior, and I, like anyone else, have a right to feel.
