    Whether or not they're going to give T1-5 a loot lock like they did in CT was the first question that popped in my mind after they announced that they're abolishing the weekly lock out for attempts.

    Unless they are nerfing the rewards, I think a loot lockout is a given. If not, then Labyrinth of the Ancients is effectively worthless then, and they want to keep that going until Patch 2.3 with the actual Tower.

    However, I don't mind. Now I'm able to help out my FC and Linkshells with Coil so we can all get up to Turns 6-9.

    Better not be any sort of lockout for the old turns. ESO comes out around the same time, and sounds like it will have a much more fair loot system. Weekly lockouts with RNG drops from a large loot pool is unfair and frustrating. Can complete the content for months straight and not even see the gear you're going for, while someone else can get it all in a week or two. Doesn't matter how well you play, it's all completely beyond your control. Shouldn't be like that for ANY turn of coil. They need to lower the lockout to something less than a whole goddamn week, add a token system, or something. It's way too brutal for people that get boned by RNG with the current setup.

    Quit supporting a crap system. Instead you should be for them removing CT lockout too. Which is what they should be doing. We're all adults, we don't need SE to be our nanny.

    They aren't going to remove a lockout just to put in another one.

    You guys got to remember that ilvl 90 in patch 2.2 will not be top tier anymore. It will be entry level gear for coil 6-9 which drops the new top tier gear. Most likly they will uncap mythlogy as well because they are adding a new tombstone which most likly you will buy the AF2 they showed off which will have the same ilvl as coil 6-9.

    The reason they make the outdated ilvl 90 gear more accessable is they want casuals and new players to be able to catch up to current content in a shorter amount of time so they can experience the games new content. Creating a 3 month gear grind for old tiers doesn't make any sense. Because people have to have a catch up mechanism otherwise new players and semi casual players would just quit out of frustration.

    1-5 having no lockout in 2.2 is no big deal because you got to remember, ilvl 90 in 2.2 is like the new darklight.

    That doesn't mean you give it out like Halloween candy. Is it the best anymore? No but you still should have to actually put in some form of effort to progress instead of just walking into na instance with a pulse and being given gear.

    The effort is you run the zone over and over just like you did for darklight. Just because you can run 1-5 as much as you want you are still subjected to RNG and others beating you on rolls. They have to give people a way to catch up to current content that doesn't take 3 months.

    Why? Does that not prolong the life of the game? The most common reason you hear (or I do personally) for someone quitting is "there is nothing for me to do but raid" Being able to start a game and be at the end in weeks is the problem all modern MMOs have. Older MMOs never had this problem because they designed the content to take long enough for them to actually design more. Now within 2 months people were done with all the content and sitting on their hands for 5 more waiting for something to do.

    I'm not one of those (haven't beaten T5 yet.. wtb stable FC group -_- ) but that doesn't mean the problem isn't there.

    We have no idea what they are doing at this point, its all just speculation. I'm taking the wait and see approach here.

    They probably will remove the mythlogy cap because they are adding in a new better tombstone which will for sure have a cap and it doesn't make sense to have 2 tombstones capped does it?
