    2.2 Turn 1 - 5 DF , Weekly Loot Lock (like CT) ?

    I have just read through the Q/A and worried about the farm-able state of Turn 1 to 5.

    If Turn 1 - 5 will be on DF with selectable turn, at least make the loot a weekly lock like CT otherwise no one will never ever join CT. That is like killing your old contents.

    Also the lock should be entirely through turn 1 to 5, else people will just farm and get 4 loots per week.

    but content negation makes the game more betterer....

    I say no to this. Lock to 1 item per turn or something that I would agree with.

    Honestly I say they should of just lowered the lockout to 48hrs or something.

    No-one knows exactly what the loot system will be, or if its simply a "loot lock out, but access is still possible" like Crystal Tower is now.
    (Most likely though due to the original nature of The Binding Coil, it'll be completely open for farming same as any other game)

    A fair solution (I think) would be 1x piece per turn, per week. (Maximum total of 5)

    To a new player, I imagine CT up to Acheron will still be useful for gearing up for Coil. It doesn't really matter if CT is cut out of the picture for people who are already farming endgame. However if they are going to let people farm coil 1-5 to their hearts content they should probably let people get as many drops as they want from CT.

    In terms of "wasting content," I bet we will see a minstrel's ballad for Acheron sooner or later, which seems a better solution to provide longevity of assets than just making people farm it even more.

    Agreed, if Turn 1 to 5 is to be farm-able. CT weekly lock need to be removed, else CT has no purpose to be exist other than for vanity slot

    Farmable? That would be a dream come true. Endless runs on each turn until everybody is maxed out : D Plus the power of echo for T5 success. Give me my delicious allagan weapon

    Enough is enough.

    To me, turn 4 is less of a hassle than WP speed runs. If I want to do it over and over to get gear, damn let me. I miss doing stuff to drop items.

    Lockout would be ok, or maybe they could make it where item drop isn't guaranteed. What was the darklight drop % in 1.0? Like 5-10%?

    This isn't 1.0. That game failed for a reason.

    Turns 1-5 should be opened up with new content (T6-9) being released. However they do it, they should keep in mind that if a new player joins the game after 2.2, they shouldn't be forced to spend 6+ months, minimum, gearing up just to get to the point they can experience the latest content. If they do, many players will either not join or quit after they realize the hurdle they have to overcome just to be able to experience what they are paying for. I'd personally like to see CT opened up wide (no lockout, farm-able) and Turns 1-5 made to be 1 item per turn per week. This means that you can run it as much as you want to gear up (so a new player could, time and group pending, manage to catch up in maybe 2-4 weeks time between CT and Coil) and even be able to start working on Alt Jobs (because heaven forbid we actually utilize the Armory system). And *gasp* members of static groups could actually help other FC members experience coil (Oh, the humanity! People actually be able to *help* each other?! What is the world coming to!).

    I truly believe that for ALL turns of Coil they should make each turn a separate Lockout. If I miss my groups first raid night and they complete turns 6 and 7, why should I be locked out of those turns if I choose to join them for attempts on Turn 8? The system currently in place is not very flexible and at the end of the day, this is still a game. Flexibility is what keeps things fun instead of turning it into a job.
