No, I did not misunderstand your post.

I deal with handicapped, TRUELY handicapped people every day, people who struggle making it to the grocery store, cannot drive a car, have to make sure the bus they plan to take is wheelchair accessible. These are ADLs they have trouble getting done, essential daily activities. So you are saying, someone is handicapped because they get sick while playing a video game. Really?

So special snowflake here needs the game fixed to accomodate her, thats cool. They do it fine, they dont do it, does not really matter.

If your screen is running at only 30Hz any movement is going to display as a blur with significant ghosting rather than a smooth motion. For someone so sensitive to motion sickness this would deter me from a lot of content. I suggest looking into upgrading to a 60Hz or 120Hz screen depending on its size. Many TV stores will have displays set up so you can compare the difference.

Edited after reading comments about this being a psychological issue. I can assure you it is not. If her monitor is displaying motion as a blur with some trails and ghosting this will cause motion sickness in a large number of people.

I am fairly sure that the platform you fight leviathan on will not be in motion, so it should seem much more anchored then the turn 4 elevator. There will, however, be waves around the platform. It seems to me that it shouldn't be the same effect. If however it does make you kind of ill, maybe you could train your mind by focusing on the horizon between wipes? (this helps tremendously with real life sea sickness.)

I find it hard someone with such a venomous attitude works with the disabled on purpose. Is that it then? The OP's problem's aren't severe enough for you to offer an ounce of compassion? Your only suggestion is to quit playing.
    Let's step back a sec....

There is a huge difference between someone being able to function in daily life due to a handicap and someone simply being able to play a video game due to a condition.

I'm guessing that Merlinian is simply finding it distasteful, and offensive, to have the two people equally classified as handicapped. Which I can kind of understand, that's like being in a hospital room with a seriously ill not-going-to-make-it sick person...having a cold, sneezing a few times, wiping your dose and then turning to someone else in the room and saying (loud enough for the sick person to hear)...uggh, I feel like I'm dying.

To the OP, I am truly sorry you're having an issue enjoying the game. Do what you can to find a fix/ workaround and present your case to SE, maybe they can implement something that addresses these types of issues. However, I would not expect them to change anything if it contradicts their vision for this game.

I would be inclined to believe you, but the sour attitude exists (going so far as to even admit being rude to the OP) before their apparent disdain for likening the OP's issue to the problems of more severely disabled people. All their posts have been insensitive, and offered nothing to the thread. Threads like these exist to bring attention to issues people are facing. They deserve to be able to make those things known, and they should be allowed to hope a change to help them would come about from it.

Using your example (even though it's extreme and makes it sound way worse than it is) it would be like walking into that hospital room and telling that dying person to give up they're already dead. Instead of showing some sensitivity to their situation and trying to offer even a base form of help, they've settled on, "No you should not be getting any special treatment or accommodations." Without even giving a reason as to why they shouldn't. Furthering my point by calling the OP a special little snowflake who thinks they're entitled to something for literally no reason. It's really unnecessary, and again offers nothing to the thread.

While I don't think the boat will be moving all that much, there is going to be crazy water effects and from the looks of it, Leviathan will be striking the boat, tipping it to the sides, which will be sending your character sliding across it. I think that's what they are concerned with.
