This is gonna be a long winded post about a mini-game offered in the Gold Saucer, so please bear with me.
Final Fantasy Tactics
Here's how it works:
You will control a group of up to 8 people. You will be the party leader of your group. The other people are random characters you control. Anyway, your FFT version can choose any job you have unlocked. The other members of the party start with one job. Using mini soul crystals or cards, or whatever that you find off dungeon bosses, you can give a party member that job. If one of your party gets KO'd, you have to either raise them or win the battle within 3 turns or they die. You can buy more party members to replace the ones that die, but you'll have to unlock jobs for them again.
Jobs:
So, when you use this job item to give one of your FFT party members the job, it goes away, meaning you have to collect a job item for each member you want to have that job. They keep all the jobs they have unlocked so you can choose the best job set-up. Each time Yoshi releases a new job for the players, then the FFT Party gets access to that new job too (with the job item used).
Single-player:
SP works just like FFT does, your party members each have a speed stat which determines when they can move. Objectives can vary from simple kill all enemies, to kill a boss enemy, or defend allies for a certain amount of time.
Multiplayer:
Same objectives as the SP version, only each party member must move within 30-60 seconds or they skip their turn. There can be co-op or PVP. Your FFT party versus your friend's party.
It could be in the same style as the original FFT with it's cartoony characters and isometric view, or it can be more 3D with our characters moving on a grid. Our characters would have high detail. The jobs could be wearing AF, no matter what armor they're wearing to make it easier to program and draw and stuff.
Maybe there can be a storyline or something. I just think it would be fun to have a multiplayer version of FFT.
