Random Question: What kind of camera view do you use?

After watching dozens of videos online it seems that most everyone who makes them plays with the camera zoomed all the way out where the characters are just little blips on the screen, Diablo style.

I like to keep the camera close to my character to watch the animations and see the details of myself and party members and the enemies I'm fighting. Makes it feel more like a FF game to me because during battle sequences the camera is usually placed either to the side or behind the characters with a good close view of the action.

How do you set your camera?

I keep it relatively far out and constantly pan back and forth to keep an eye out for mechanics that concern me. Especially useful in fights like Titan so I know ahead of time where safe zones are should I be targeted with Plumes and have to move quickly. Being zoomed too far in doesn't afford you the field of vision necessary to make certain snap judgements.

Depends on the situation. Some fights need the camera to be zoomed all the way out but otherwise I keep it rather close to the character.

Depends on the content. Usually I keep it somewhat close to my char (maybe about 25% from max distance), because I like it that way. In more demanding content, I fully zoom out to have better view of what's going on.

As a tank, far enough out to see the AOEs and whatever part of the room I need to keep an eye on .. making sure I can see the adds, casters, etc.
I only really zoom in for photo ops.

Far out if I'm doing something that needs it ... otherwise, at the normal "I just logged in and have not messed with the camera yet" distance.

I zoom all the way out so I don't die to "Weight of the Land" and "Landslide".

Most of the time, I'm zoomed in fairly close to my character.
But in boss fights, say Titan for example, I zoom out all the way so I can see the whole battlefield.
I might zoom out all the way for other fights as well, depends on the situation.

I'm usually zoomed in fairly close, almost to the point of view of someone walking closely behind them, I would call it. But in dungeons, it's usually zoomed all the way out, at least for Primals and CT and other dungeons that let me zoom very far out without hitting walls.

In smaller or more cramped dungeons, like Tam-tara or Stone Vigil, etc, I usually keep it at about the halfway zoom point. Lets me see more of the field, but doesn't pull me out so far that I run into spots where a wall gets in my way or whatever.

I use first-person so that I can pretend I'm actually my character and can only see what she sees!
