Hows the server?

So my FC is thinking about xferring off Malboro and onto a different realm. How is this server? How is the economy? How are pugs, progression, etc?

Progression feels standard.
Pugs are good as long as you network.

Progression is meh... ok I guess. In number of actual HC progression companies there is probably less then you can count on one hand. If you want on a serious raiding server there is multiple others that had turn 5 on farm with 7-10 companies for a month before this server had more then 3
What is pugging when you're in a good company? Honestly no idea. There is tons of companies that for some reason have 11-12 raiding groups, you probably could easily get in one of their coil 1-4 farm groups.

People? This is more of a casual social type community. We receive applications all the time from company's members stating they want in a company that does more then farm 1-4 coil then give up for the week because people are disinterested in taking the time to learn 5. It depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want a social high pop server Leviathan is good for ya, if ya want a more raid oriented server look somewhere else.

TBH I don't see the economy being bad, it is different though.

The real problem is the people selling stuff for 1 gil when they get 2 gil for it from a merchant and the massive undercutting some are doing
It feels more like real world American economics, huge price differences depending on the time of day and where you shop and people cant afford homes alone anymore, either than that its somewhat stable, I myself can make somewhere between 20-100k a week depending on my effort level and no im not a huge eco gamer anymore PotBS burned me out on that after 2 solid years of spreadsheets...I just dabble.

I'm from Malboro, ShineNeko. I know you and the people in your free company here. If you're exceptional, consider applying to Advent Union. Otherwise, Leviathan is still large and a great place to be for progression.

All jokes aside, I feel it's a great server, I started with a few real-life friends, some couldn't make it to Levithian (they went to Gilgamesh). When the free transfer happened, I did not think twice about transferring. The people, are nice. The progression is great - in my opinion. You have the good, the bad, and the trolls... Like any online game.

Although, if you stand out.... You will have no problem getting into a great FC, making great friends. I have made "elitist" type (which I myself lean towards) which care about progression, then you have the more casual players. Economy is terrible: Materia IV's going under 9k, with the exception of like 2-3.l of them. Minions, Philosophy Tomb, and Housing items go for near to nothing.
