    Miners mine in mines

    It would be great if Miners mined in actual mines.

    I always thought this of 1.0. There were great underground areas but no mining points. But now the underground areas are mostly gone as well.

    I would love to see mines return and mining points in them.

    Also, with personal housing, please make it so that you can 'grow' a mine under your house. That would be awesome for us miners. Make it interesting and fun!

    One person in some post I can't remember made a suggestion about dungeons have their own special nodes and farming from those as well. Kind of like hiring bodyguards to help you through a dungeon to gather some interesting things inside. I thought it was a pretty interesting idea, considering we do have a couple places that could pass for mines, including Copperbell. Hopefully they'll make some more interesting improvements to them over the year.

    Would be nice if Disciples of Land got their own Duty Finder events. Could also include combat classes; Fishing/Mining/Logging on a boat/mine/forest, sea/mine/forest creatures attack and the Fishers/Miners/Botanists need to be defended. That sort of thing. Rewards: EXP for Spiritbinding, Gil, gear? Think I suggested something like this before...

    I always need Iron Ore for my miner. And everytime I go to get, it i always think how cool would it be to be able to enter copperbell as a miner, just to mine all sorts of ores! Would be so cool if instead of mining all these ore's in open fields, they were deep underground. So you get the feeling of actually mining. Same could be said with botany. Only Gridana makes me feel like i am collecting logs in a forest. Everywhere else its just a random tree that popped up lol I want intense jungles to!!

    This reminds me of LotRO, where there were "crafting instances". I would enter a minidungeon solo in Moria that was infested with monsters and full with wood piles, mining nodes and old parchments/tomes (for scholars, or in FF's case alchemist?). I'd first clear the area from the critters and then take my pickaxe and mine away. There was also always few side quests, like; kill X amount of the monsters in the dungeon and gather X amount of lost tomes/tools. There was also a boss of sorts at the end. The minidungeons were open for 1h, so "the monsters wouldn't escape" and the craft nodes/log piles/tome chests would respawn every three days. I really liked them.

    I realize that would not quite work in this game, as you can't exactly fight against monsters as a gathering class except for auto-attack. But yeah... The idea is cool and I kinda do miss mining in an actual mine; dark, gloomy and stuffy.

    1) mining in mines would be cool. Particularly the undergroud areas that already exist.
    2) giving DoL a role in battle and/or instances would be wanderful.
    3) isn't there a tv show about prospectors who essentially mine... but not in mines... more like what we do in ffxiv? So it's not like they got it all wrong - though maybe they should have named us prospectors instead of miners.

    In 1.0, we have several open dungeons to explore, so it would be nice if this happens back then.

    Now? With everything got instanced, I don't see this happening. In fact, I really doubt it.

    Maybe open a 5th slot for dungeons that isn't required and can be taken up by a DoL class that suits the enviroment, such as allowing Miners into the Copperbell Mines and Botanists in Brayflox.
