    The Real Issue with FFXIV

The problem is not the "Difficulty" or "Elites v Casuals", it's "Isolation". There are thousands of players on a server, but we are forced into groups of 4-8. This causes "Discrimination" against players you never partied with or those who failed to impress you on their initial attempt. You then enter most PUGs with the mentality that unless you have "Core People" you will "Fail".

The content is not large enough to support the amount of players you want to keep satisfied. My view is that; Coil should have never been turn locked to begin with. Loot locked? maybe, Alliance based? yes.

Why? because it falls back to "Isolation" and players partying exclusively with a smaller player base. The problem is not Coil's difficulty or gear requirements, the majority of casuals lack experience because the elites "Can't" take the time to train them. Elites are then forced to level Alts to help out when the game was supposed to be designed for you to be efficient with one character.

Elites make tutorial videos to watch and pray casuals catch on, but it will not replace in game experience. Then we have to delve into learning curves which another topic in itself. This process forces casuals to isolate each other by skill and the cycle repeats making it an elite v Casual or Pro v Noob issue when it could be solved if the content was more community friendly. Now Devs have to waste time dumbing content down instead of creating new content.

TLDR; The games direction and design are severely flawed forcing players to invest through "Time Sinks" rather than actual "Progressive Game Time".

FATE's, smallish zones in general, smallish data centers, Odin+, a reason to be in the capitals/Mor Dhona... it's very not isolated compared to many MMO's.

You're confusing physical isolation with the isolation caused by game content and community expectations.

This game is VERY Isolated compared to the Majority of Open World MMORPGs. I won't delve too deep but this game is more HUB based than exploration based.

Secondly the "Isolation" refers to the player base and Progressive Game Content. In an Example; Say the Top 10 FC's on the server have 4 Coil groups that farm it. That's 8x4= 32x10 = 320 players when you have a server with Hundreds of players barely scraping past turn 4 and thousands more who have never made it past turn 2. That's 320 people that can't help you other than making a video or an alt and thousands more who can't backtrack to help you either.

It has ramification on FC's as well seeing how you have throw new players into the fray and hope they fly instead of fall. And, also hope that mixing them with others who know the content but can't find a steady group, are patient enough to deal with it.

How do you define "elite"? Good players who take the time to help others, or those who are overgeared and insist that if you make one mistake, you are out of their run?

Elites are people who can complete the game content efficiently. I can't determine their personalities. I guess I would say you have Elites; people who are skilled and Elitists; people who are skilled and prefer to hang it over your head.

The real issue for me is: The devs make content aimed for "One Public only".

ARR aim only for casuals and low man groups. 90% the content is for 4 man.

We need Content for Small FC, Medium FC and Big FC.

Ask for a massive amounts of dungeons is unrealistic because Create a Full Dungeon can take 30 Days of work. But make "One Boss battle can take 1 or 2 weeks with a competent group work".

We are talking about the Mastodon "Square enix" a company with enough Money for pay for Quality. This is not Sega or another Poor Company. Square enix have enough resources for make this posible.

Each 5 Weeks (A group of Work of 10 people will be Needed for this).

One 8 Man Boss Battle. Rewards. ILV 80 and Tomes
One 16 Man Boss Battle. Rewards. ILV 85 and Tomes
One 24 Man Boss Battle. Rewards. ILV 90 and Tomes.

Each 3 Months. (Another Group of Work of 16 people will be needed for this)

One Full Dungeon For 8 Man. Rewards. Ilv 85 and Tomes
One Full Dungeon for 16 man. Rewards. Ilv 90 and tomes
One Full Dungeon for 24 man. Rewards. ilv 95 and tomes

Each Month. (Another Group of work of 8 people will be needed for this)

One Boss FATE Fight. This Fight will have a minimum duration of 35 mins with over 300 players. This Fight will Auto Start two times per day. 8 Pm Est Na and 8 pm JP Time. The boss will depop after 120 mins. Rewards ILV 75 - 86. Housing items, Minions, Vanity Slots, Aesthtetician Items, Mountures, Gil 50 - 75k per win.

We can Access Via Party Finder / Duty Finder to this content

The reward System wil be Individual, so we can avoid the treasure pool dramas.

If a person is removed from the group, that player CANT rejoin this group.

All this Content Share Cooldown with Levequests and have 24 hour individual cooldown after of receive the reward.

Doing this. Finally the people will start Run Raids with their FC buddies. You make content for all publics, casuals, Average players and Hardcore. You Flood your Game with Content, you keep reasonable lockouts for the hardcores dont let behind the rest the public very fast.
