Final Fantasy 14 Luncher requiring DirectX

Hi I just got a new laptop and am currently trying to get the game installed. However whenver I click on the on ff14setup. It will ask to update to the current directX. I click yes, it installs with no issue's however when I click the finish it goes back to saying it needs to update the directX again. I have done this 5 times in a row and still does the same thing.

I then tried copying the files from my PC to the new laptop and I get the Error code 0xc000007d and causes the game to crash. I then tried using the ff14 benchmark and I get the same error code.

I then went to my parents pc and was able to transfer my files to there pc and run the game with no issue's.

The laptop is running all the most current drivers Windows 8 with a gtx 765m video card. I have made double sure Direct X is up to date which is 11.2, I have ran the game in compatibility mode for windows 7 windows vista and windows xp all with the same result's. My UAC is set to off. I have also tried installing with the anti virus off and windows firewall off.

It almost feel's as if the launcher is not recognizing my direct X software.

P.S I also did a google search looking for others with this same issue and I seem to be the only one.

I have already downloaded the runtime and will not install. It says I have all of the updated files.

Was it really the Direct X 9 runtime you downloaded? Was it from same link as I provided?
Direct X 9 and Direct X 11 are two different runtimes.
If the launcher can't find 9, it will complain as you described...

I have tried both and it is a no go. Keeps telling me there is nothing to update. The 9.0c will not install since windows 8 is not win 98 or millenium.

Edit:The research I have been doing is leading me to think Windows 8 installed incorrectly and I may need to do a reformat on the HD.
