    Sometimes I wonder if the people posting things like "have to keep the casuals and hardcore players divided"... and "could you designate the easy mode gear by making it a different color" ever get embarrassed reading what they have typed.

    I wonder if they are embarrassed because they are so desperate to stand out in a video game... and yet- unless they are in a world first FC- they don't stand out. No one cares. Not many care about the world first FCs... but for the people that DO care about that stuff, unless you are a world first FC- you'r just second rate, anyway.

    Stop trying to so hard to be something you aren't. Stop trying to stigmatize others so that your mediocrity is less obvious. Enjoy the game for what it is- entertainment.

    I was on board with you until I read the rest of your post. I suggest you might look over your own post and see where you might be trying to make a fool of yourself.

    The people who are arguing for more vertical progression, making everything accessible etc. have no right whatsoever to complain about the sad state of crafting, folks buying wins from mercs/PF excluding people who aren't fully geared and experienced, or a general lack of variety at endgame.

    All of those issues are a direct result of it. The only real requisite to content being reduced to item level and having the gear to compensate for otherwise ridiculously overpowered fights. And for what? To do it all over again in the next patch?

    Not only bringing it after coil, but keeping the lockout on it when a lot of people had already been clearing coil.

    One of my biggest gripes with this game continues to be not only the lack of endgame content, but how difficult it is to gear multiple jobs. I'm SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TOLD I CHOSE THE WRONG JOB. It's rarely said in those exact words, but that's generally what I run into every day on Excalibur. Oh, too bad so sad, you're not a tank/healer/ranged DD so no farming the gear you want on DRG, that you need to be able to consistently clear Coil and Primals. Oh and too bad you only get 1 shot at loot per turn each week, and only 1 drop from CT as well so good luck gearing your other jobs!

    The level of short-sighted design is mind boggling - it's like they learned nothing at all from XI in some respects.

    Don't think Bahamuts coil is really endgame content SE wants to be kept as endgame content. Sure its hard and everything but I see them adding least 3-5 versions of it before there done with it. Don't see the final endgame to the game coming until like 2015. Just saying Bahamuts coil more like a tease. XI didnt get its endgame until RoZ which I can expect to be like this game time wise.

    Coils Areas:
    Wineport
    Hanward Hut
    Burning Wall/Drybone
    Coerthas
    Mor Dohna

    Probably will see level cap raise by the time Burning Wall or Coerthas is out by 2.4//2.6 patch. Should be 2015 by then.
    What im hoping is Mor Dohna is the Bahamuts Lab endgame content. Can basically go there now and thers large opening being blocked by crystal to Dalamud area. Samething with Burning Wall, blocked by giant crystal to the monoliph thing.

    Exp pack I dont see them going past the Eorzea Map. Basically 4-5 more field zones in Eorzea we have never seen yet. By then should have 2-3 new city states, Ishguard, Alla Migo and the other one in the west. Can expect exp pack to be alot about Dragons. Probably be more about Bahamut/Nihogg/Ishguard. Next Exp pack being off Eorzea Map around end of 2016/2017.

    As of design choice in many ways I think XIV going the wrong way & wasting time development content which is going to be replaced quickly. They should put all there focus into making Crystal Tower open world Dungeon & keep Bahamuts Coil the way it is. They should stop developing small scale Dungeon content and if they do don't make it a raid but open world dungeon. Main reason is small party scale dungeons & crystal tower equipment is replaced quickly by each patch and also to many dungeons already out for that item level. Also development Speed is on the low side because of creating these side dungeon content.

    Bahamuts Coil least in Part 3 should be 24 man Raid content from there on out. Mainly because Crystal Tower is ment for more of casual base and useally don't have time to create 24man party & alot of problems come from using duty finder cross server with higher chance harasment players & weaker players required.

    Releasing hard/extreme mode maybe slowing the development of creating new content. Simple fix is not to release the content at the lower difficulty mode at launch of a patch. If content is too hard lower difficulty next patch. This still shouldnt be needed since difficulty is lowered with release of job adjustments,better equipment and so on.

    I'd agree to giving people who have cleared T5 a bonus, providing every person who ever did hamlet and got their original relic in 1.0 gets a unique weapon or different model than the current lolrelics.

    All I want is an achievement for defeating the game's challenges under their original conditions and then I'm happy. For turns 1 through 5 that would be defeating all turns without the use of echo and at item level 91 (easy to setup with party finder). Once all of the coils are released, there could be a unique mount or something for earning such achievement for each coil.


    I don't believe that hard content should prevent less skilled players from enjoying all of the story content. However, I believe there should be rewards that create incentive for players who are able to defeat the tough challenges (which one day might be a player who is unskilled today).

    The only time an achievement reward is suitable, is when you cleared a duty finder pick up group with zero people from your FC or friendlist. Anything else is easy mode and you should get an insult at best.

    Honestly - was your response even necessary? Even in the slightest? An achievement doesn't necessarily need to be difficult; it can also relate to time invested. If you want to call Twintania easy, then so be it. I'd honestly be floored if even close to 10% of the game's subscribers have cleared it.
