but anyway im new but ive been reading a lot about this thread, and i think the weapon stat system would be better, or another "good" way could be to raise your stats depending on the class you are training, archers and leatherworkers could rise your dex, figthers and smithers could get str, and such, so to make a good "build" you would need to stick a while with certain jobs, and that way you could easily move btw like, ftr classes, or magical classes, etc

P.D.: i apologyse if my english its bad, its not my main
i do agree with parts of what you say, but if you look at alot of the classes even within the thm/con which are both thm have different main stats. the same with battle and crafting. their main stats change between each class. you mentioned playing a class for a while, but the thing is i can go on thm tonight for the first time in the leve party and in one party will go from 0sp earned to being fatigued. the fatigue system hits way too quickly to be able to stay on a class for a while.

if you want to be able to change classes easy to me the best way is to lower the points given per level be it phy or class and make the points more beneficial and allow the classes to each have their own set of stats. that way as you change to another class the stats are saved from the last time you set the stats on that class.
