Because I know the game is succeeding and i'm tired of negative nancy's like you consistently bashing it on the forum.

After this patch the game will be saved and the population will rapidly take off. By showing that, people would be more confident in the dev team and their decisions. By not showing it there is just continued speculation on how much the population has dropped based off biased observations.

1) I am not negative towards the game
2) I asked for a valid reason, this is just pointless self confirmation that the game you are playing is loved by all your Farmville buddies too
3) As most other posters in this thread have pointed out, they aren't going to be in their office going "work work wor.... WAIT STOP THE PRESSES! SOME DILBERT ON THE FORUMS WANTS STATS NOW! SOD THE STOCKS AND GENERAL CONCENSUS AROUND THE GAME! THIS PLAYER NEEDS TO BE AFFIRMED THAT THE GAME THEY PLAY IS POPULAR!" "I don't care Yoshi, stop everything you are doing and feed that players peen now!".

no.

ffxi has server stats built in. By taking them out of this game they created the perception that the game is failing. If the game isn't failing and they put it back in, it will help make the game look better and attract more players. It doesn't take a whole lot of work or time. And the only way it would hurt the company would be if in fact the game is failing and losing people.

I know a lot about this game! i've been playing it for like a few months! I pointed out the positive merits of showing the game has a growing population but you just ignored them.
