    Please don't nerf the HM dungeons

    One of the things i read in the letter's summary is that many people are complaining about the difficulty of the HM dungeons. But I don't think the solution is to nerf it altogether. The dungeons definitely ARE challenging, but I believe that its because people go in there with inadequate gear. So if you increase the item level, players will be able to completely enjoy the dungeon, and still have room to make an error here or there. The dungeons are truly fun, and i feel part of that stems from the difficulty behind it.

    it would also help if there was some sort of in-game help feature. like something that gives you pre battle hints on what the boss's attack style is and/or other things to look out for. not everyone bothers to look up youtube videos. so make it easier for those that don't.

    Please leave them like that so that people that didn't have time to do them, prepare for them and so on have a chance at doing them the way they were meant to be done. I guess they are not really show stoppers.

    I'd agree these dungeons need a minimum ILVL of 55 not 48.

    I don't think the dungeons should be nerfed but I do think they need to be given their own roulette category. Getting a high level roulette for Haukke HM or Copperbell HM usually results in wasted time as at least 1 of those 4 players probably can't cut it, same goes for Pharos but imo that's because the first boss is rather overtuned and genuinely needs a tweak down.

    I think the dungeon difficulty and the ilvl requirement to get in are fine as they are. They probably should have altered the loot drops for places like Pharos Sirius, however, so that that their ilvl was slightly above AK and WP. Just like they shouldn't have been lazy and given us actual new armor models instead of just transferring AK loot tables...

    They wouldn't need to nerf it if derps that go into DR wouldn't quit when they get Pharos Sirius. I mean, I've talked an almost full group in regular AF through it with no wipes. People who quit as soon as they get in are pa-the-tic.

    Pharos Sirius is the dungeon I hate to get most of all and im ilvl 85 tank. The loot is useless to me , I only do dungeons for the tomes so I take path of less resistance which means If I get this dungeon Im usually better off going for a 30 min smoko break.

    I'm not sure I'd use such harsh language, but I agree in that I don't really understand why people freak out so much over Pharos Sirius. The mechanics are extremely simple; you just need to be aware of them. The boss fights are slightly more involved than WP, but I see that as a good thing. Dull tank and spank bosses make for a dull run. But really, what's so hard about "Kill the adds as they spawn and avoid the growing patches of yellow fire" or "kill one egg each time they try to hatch and kill the adds" or "kill the adds (crawlers first), either move to the center or avoid the charge, and interrupt a single ability"?

    That's a very good idea. bundling every lv 50 dungeon into a single category is not good IMO. Or at the very least, like I said, increase the the ilvl. that way people with too low level dont get dragged in through DR

    As I predicted, Pharos became the Oculus/Heroic Halls of Reflection of FFXIV.The risk doesn't match the reward for some people, specially when they can run WP or even AK and it would take half as long to clear than one Pharos run.

    That said, the OP mentioned something along the lines of a dungeon journal, and that's something I can get behind. Read about the boss fight and at least get an idea of what to look out for.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
