Vanity System in PvP

Not to be a negative nancy, but I'm just interested if anyone else has had this thought.

Who thinks the vanity system is going to screw over all visual recognition in PvP.

I'm looking forward to Rank 30 healers using ilvl55 gear as there vanity slot in PvP. The hilarity of that situation is going to be both awful and amazing at the same time.

But seriously, anyone else see this coming? I really hope they somehow disable the vanity system in PvP

Pretty sure they've already said it won't work in PvP, though that's mostly coming from secondhand sources like Twitch stream translations/chat.

Most PvP'er I know would do the following:
Deck themselves with super fugly gears.
Deck themselves with super skimpy clothing.
Deck themselves with decent looking gear.
Deck themselves with Class misleading gear.

And by god, most of the really good ones will use the misleading gear. It's like "Oh that guy looks like a SMN!" but he is holding a Staff... So is he a WHM or BLM now? (Or even better enable weapon hide)
2nd comes those who wear gears like is an eyesore to everyone. That square-plank shield, party cone-hats, stubby daggers, hoe looking axes to toothpick lances and dental floss looking bows.
Then comes the nakid squaddies. I'd think most people will go with the Dzemael gears which totally makes one into a marketable prostitute.
And come your regular I'd want to have anything that looks bad-ass.

My monk back in WoW wears Druid Tier Set Look alike armor and is an Undead. Go figure which category I'm in =P.

As someone who has played MMOs that allow vanity costumes in PvP I assure you nothing would change. No one uses costumes to mislead others in said MMOs simply because it doesn't work. Anyone worth their salt will identify by your weapon/mannerisms. No one is fooled by wearing gear that doesn't match your level. The costume variety differs little from what people wear in PvE.

Its already been done, the only thing that happened was the paranoid people panicking about how it would be exploited went silent after realizing it wasn't a big deal and literally nothing changed.

EDIT: Think of it this way: there's nothing preventing that type of behavior right now. What's stopping 3 Lala spellcasters from donning identical robes, getting all the stats they need from their non-displayed gear, and playing a nasty game of "hide the healer"? Notice that's not happening: because it doesn't work. Human beings just aren't stupid enough to fall for such a ruse long enough to make a difference.

Try guessing my class when I have my weapon turned off. You will only know when I feel like hitting someone. Problem is wearing same gear doesn't allow for optimal stats. I can identify a iLvl 70 to a 90 before the gates even open at it's current state. Unlike other PvP game the chaos of "Fresh Meat" titled enemies will put more confusion unless you plan to mark all of them off the start.
