Moving/Upgrading Free Company Housing

I'd like to see if we can clear up some housing information for anyone in a similar situation.

If your FC wants to upgrade housing or move to another residential area, there seem to be two ways to go about this.

1. Relinquish the existing plot, then purchase new plot. You run a risk of being beaten to the purchase of the new plot. You could wind up with nothing.

2. Establish a new FC. Must build rank up to 6 and then purchase new plot. A little safer in that you will not end up without a plot. Time and resources must be spent to rank up again to even allow you to purchase a plot.

Either way you go there is not a mechanism to transfer FC crafting workshop progress and airship unlocked sectors.

Does this all look correct? Am I missing anything?

correct - they are working on adding a house transfer system prior to proper Ishgard housing wards...but maybe they will surprise us and add it in 3.3 when new wards are added to the existing housing areas.
