Kind of vague question but is there anything that doesn't count against the furniture limit indoors? Like walls/flooring/lighting, do those count against it?

Interior Fixtures such as walls/floors/chandeliers are placed in their own menu. The caveat is that you can't retrieve or move their floors once set - so if you have that ADS lamp, better like where you put it.

My question is, do you have to immediately build a house after buying a plot?

No, we had a purchased but empty lot nearby for about a week before its FC got around to buying the house.

I am trying to figure out how SE considers a plot to be inactive too.

I seem to recall on the promo footage that you could dye the houses... does this work for stone houses or just wood? Like if I were to get a stone house in Mist could I paint it something not quite so eye blindingly bright? Or if I got a stone house in the Goblet could I paint it white?

Course I would also like the option to put a Goblet house in Mist, but that's a whole -other- issue altogether... :P

I've noticed you can dye the roof color and when you do the exterior wall color it only does certain parts. This is for wood mind you. Certain furniture can be dyed as well.

All houses can be dyed however for most of them it only does portions of it. How much is dyed changes by material, Size and nation type. Good example is wood limsa house the dye colors all the wood but for gridania wood house dye only paints a portion mostly around door.

I've pretty much settled on the idea of a wood or stone house in Mist for when individual housing comes out, but I'm not overly wild about a white house. It's good to know I can change that a bit.

Can you change the partitions.? Example i changed the main floor to Flame Wall but the walls i have built will not change to match . Is there a way?

No. It's one of the most requested things. They did say they were working on this... ages ago.

easy answer I'm sure, but when buying the plot, does the money need to be on the character or does it take it from the FC's chest?
