Original poster only sees content nerfs. Doesn't see Coil 6-9, Thornemarch EX, and Leviathan EX smack him in the face.
But seriously, especially with Titan EX, there are limits to what certain individuals can accomplish in this game. It is often said that content that is really hard is enticing for the hardcore players. But as I have learned recently, Wizardry Online is getting taken down due to lack of players, and that game was pretty much "Leetskillz: The MMO. No scrubs allowed," what with its permadeath system and all that, which leads me to believe that the "hardcore" gamers are, in fact, a minority that need to be catered to bit by bit, but not coddled like the "casual" gamers are.
Literally the only reasons I have never completed any of the EX Primal fights are as follows:
1. My Free Company is always busy when I want to take one down, and takes it down when I'm offline.
2. PUG players sometimes have a great difficulty with following directions, either because they don't read the chat or they are uncomfortable with following orders.
3. Any efforts to use the Party Finder (despite having an ilvl of 81) are usually dashed because I am a kinesthetic learner who will watch the how-to videos, get annoyed as hell with the extremely grating voices of people who I hope don't have aspirations for audio broadcasting, and by the end of it, I still have no idea what the hell is going on, and that's despite the fact that I'm an extremely quick study. I can't watch a video or hear someone describe it to me, but after a single run-through, I usually have it. I even managed to clear T2 Enrage Mode without wiping and without prior knowledge of what Enrage Mode was, what it entailed, and why the hell we left some of the bosses untouched. And if I so much as HINT that I've never run something prior to running it, I'll get booted from a party on the spot, forcing me to fake my experience (until those same party finder elitists said they were going to be doing Ifrit EX clear checks, which now ensures I'll never get a Titan EX party through Party Finder).
4. Apart from myself, I can count on one hand how many people actually organize teaching runs on my server, while the number of people who post "ILVL90+ KNOW THE FIGHT, NO SCRUBS ALLOWED" in the Party Finder is virtually incalculable. Seriously, if the Commendation system worked outside of PUGs, I'd be handing out Commendations to every organizer of teaching runs.

I don't know though, Extremes as your example are one of the last fights in the game. Given that, I don't see why its bad to have it dependent on some level of co-ordination among groups. In a lot of these cases though, your Free Company really should be teaching its members and helping them get through content. We are a small Company (around 15 guys), but everyone has completed the extreme trio, and several are aiming for their 4th weapon.
If your Company isn't interested, there's always linkshells and 'alliances' with other Company's. Forming ties and arrangements with other Company's can work out very well, especially if your Company is small. But I personally don't think content should be made easier simply because there's no organisation beyond the individual level.
Must be blind if all you see is nerfs.
Cause I see a whole host of new, challenging content for people.
I don't see what the big deal is, by the time us plebs have our Allagan weapons the elites will have AF2 and ilvl 115 weapons.
You'll still look at us and say "pfft, Allagan? I got it back when Twintania was hard, l2p n00b", so don't worry, your egos will stay intact.

/midblown
Here I am cheesing through T2 by tank swapping and silencing HV when the proper way to do it is this 'Enrage' strategy.

Gone are the days of catering to the 1% of the server population screaming for cripplingly difficult content.
Is it really unreasonable to expect extreme mode boss fights to be extremely hard?
