    trying to learn how to

Tank but it's hard. I'm only at level 20 but I keep losing eminity. I pop shield lob and flash to make sure I have everyone. But still they get away. I also use Savage blade but it doesn't stick really. So any helpful tips for Tanking PLD? Just keep losing eminity

Keep your flash up throughout the fight, at this level, you are going to need to pop it frequently. A good measure to to make sure you use flash times the amount of enemies in the pull. So if 3 enemies, use minimum 3 flashes (usually towards the start of the pull).

Also make sure to keep an eye on the tiny white bars underneath the class icon of the party members, it displays the current enmity of each member on the enemy you are targeting. So if you see a bard/archer for instance creeping up to the full bar, pop a few flashes to reduce the amount of enmity he is building (you will see his bar drop as you do this).

Low level PLD tanking can be tricky as most of your tanking skills have not been acquired yet, just keep your chin up and keep at it.

Spam combo and flash. There isn't much to it.

Get a decent weapon helps . Also the DPS can help by not going nuts on damage since they can easily see if they are going to pull agro .

Max out STR would probably help a bit too , until end game where most people go full vitality .

    This.

Tell the archer to slow down a bit on the spamming skills, they really need to allow you to get a few hits in and establish hate before they start spamming skills. It's very easy for dps to be neck and neck with you on hate level if they go all out right at the start of the fight.

As far as STR, since I'm a crafter, I pretty much crafted all hq gear for myself and melded STR materia to it. That way my ability points went into VIT, but I had a rather decent amount of extra STR in there too. Make sure your gear is top notch for your level, it matters a LOT.

As far as flash goes, after I while I got so frustrated with losing hate that I used flash every 2nd move. Shield Lob, Flash, Fast Blade, Flash, etc.

It gets much better as you level up so don't get too discouraged!

My combo for low lvl tanking is star a shield lob, flash the group, fastblade savage blade Flash repeat combo and flash keep that up and you can hold aggro, the rest is up to the DPS and healers. also good equips go a long way too. if out of mp the go with the riot blade combo, and flash every combo. Eventually you will get better tools and be able to improve on your rotation.
