FATE "Hunting Log" = FFXII Marks/Elite Marks Style

Because of the changes in the patch it seems like there is less use for FATEs in general and they seemed to have loss their appeal. Outside of the FATEs that are required for quests, I don't really see the need to do them. This means I'm missing out on fighting against some of the "boss type" FATEs because I don't even realize they exist unless I just happen to run into it.

I think it would be interesting to have these types of FATEs linked to a hunting log, with possible item reward or event sidequest storyline like in FFXII. People don't generally like the FATEs as quests due to waiting around but I think if the actual focus of that "set of quests" was on killing a particular mob with a useful reward at that level it'd give more of a reason to do it.

I know there are achievements associated with completing certain FATEs, but I think it'd be nice to take it a step further with them. Have there be level ranges for the hunts (like the Hunting Log), then have a quest before or after you complete a range much like how the Beastmen Dailies have actual storyline quests to go along with them. Then give rewards applicable to those level ranges and/or something unique (minions+mounts+vanity armor).

Then they could add more "Elite Mark" style FATE bosses that at least look unique instead of just a bigger version of a regular mob, some that maybe are harder, more in line with Behemoth + Odin.

As it is now, there's little incentive to do FATEs by choice.
