Anyone here ever accidentially needing something in a greed pt?

I am a bit curious, anyone here ever accidentially needing something in a greed pt? I usually think it was impossible to happen but it actually happen to me and it got me thinking. Well actually it is more like this.... the item i greed for job and it drop. I lotted 59... not bad I think. Then I was thinking..... wait did it just need or did i just greed. I was not even sure if I greeded or needed. Turn out i needed by accident(truly) , I apology to the pt; the pt leader was like... ok, at least you are main on it but no more loot today.

Well, it happens. It's happened to people in my pts but regardless of it being an accident or not, if there are set rules, there aren't exceptions.

I avoid greed parties in the first place. If I need something on my main (WHM) and join on said main, but the DPS wants the Healer ring I need, for an alt class, why should I forfeit my right to gear my main for somebody's alt?

This is a common problem. A good solution would be to allow you to Pass even if you have already Need/Greeded, instead of greying out the button. FFXI allowed you to still Pass even if you lotted by mistake, I'm not sure if anywhere else has this as well, but I would definitely like to see this implemented.

Even worse, yesterday I was in a Thornmarch party where everyone was Greeding for their secondary jobs, I was the only one that stated I want the WHM weapon. The first time it drops, a Relic WHM Needs it, on purpose, "Coz it's cute."

Second time, 3 other people Greed too, even though they never mentioned beforehand that they will.

At least I managed to get the item, eventually. But I almost turned into the Hulk due to what that WHM did.
