THM could solo dodore with 6 adds and goblin with 6.
The nerf didn't nerf thaum.

The way you phrased it (ie, "head up the ass") is that anyone who thought they were in any way elite had their head up their ass. I merely wish to remind you that, due to fortune and occasionally effort, there will arise a group of people who are "best in class." Is it necessarily arrogant for such people to recognize their differences?
Consider two mages. Mage A has reached max level, fully merited out their job, purchased all the best gear, fine-tuned their macros, and has through careful planning and practice put their years of experience at magic to use in soloing gods and whatnot. Mage B reached max level meleeing in campaign, hasn't skilled up since 30, has no merits, and is wearing RSE. Is Mage A a better mage than Mage B? Yes. Does Mage A know this? By your definitions, unless he is seriously incapable of telling the difference then he has his head up his ass.
I think that says more about your point than it does about Mage A.
We had a dev post sort of relating to this - it was about Matsui's intention of adding randomized boss monsters after the major battle revisions are completed.

If you're going to use quotes, at least try to do so in a way that makes a point
Re: assertion. Let's say Mage A and Mage B meet, and Mage A offers Mage B some mage advice. Mage B says, "What do you know?" and Mage A says, "Lots." That is an assertion of superior status.
Let's say Mage A overheard Mage B giving Mage C some erroneous advice on being a mage. Mage A interjects. This is also an assertion of superior status. In this scenario, I think it's more likely that Mage B has his head up his ass when he rejects Mage A's advice and calls him an elitist.
This can go round and round.

You have apparently misjudged the connotation of the word "Elitism" that is being used on these forums, in addition to proving your are incapable of comprehending simple statements.
Do you have a twin brother named Abriael by chance?
No, but I once had a barber named Dominique.
Oh, and actually, I recognized this board's connotations quite early on:
The description is inaccurate ... a village idiot is hated without envy.
I don't think (iirc) the kings etc were even in the game on release. If memory serves, they weren't added until RotZ.
