Just wondering how many of you are like me and you love the nonsensical, epic pointlessness of fantasy weapons and armor....

I am serious... and not even being sarcastic....

I'm talking about swords with retarded shaped blades made of crystal with holes in them
multicolored swords with enough zigs and zags to make you dizzy....

Lulu attacking with an onion knight doll that runs up and hits the mob....

Weapons that in no way shape or form could ever be practical in real life
Because you know what... this is definitely not real life
I love them

Take all of the blades on Lightning's Gunblades in FFXIII... they are all unique, and make absolutely no sense whatsoever... and I LOVE them....

I want a cesti that wraps all the way up the pugilists arms....

More nitpicking eh? Aren't there worse issues here then looks of weapons ( which I don't see a problem with honestly)

HEY STOP!!!!!!!! its called Final "Fantasy" and we all know that means drab gothic/midevil armor and bland weapons! The bow and hand to hand weapons are such an eyesore in this game its enexcusable but everytime i say something about it; it gets flash mobbed by forums monkeys. And yet again w/ the instance dungeon update today they show yet more reskinned and simply recolored existing models.

I like realistic weapons with flair on them. But if you start giving me Bayonetta style stuff...eh...no thanks.

Would love to have better weapons but I would prefer to have other things fixed first and foremost.

I'm not asking anyone to change anything.... Just a fun thread of what type of weapons you like....
Honestly I don't even want to influence the developers on anything artistic....
I like to play a game within the directors vision
Just a fun FF fan thread about what kinds of weapons you like....
And new gear isn't an issue or a side thing... they are ALWAYS adding new gear... no matter what content they add... no matter what optimizing or tweaking they do, new gear will always be in development... So its not counterproductive for players to come together and talk about their favorite type of gear....

I'm not gonna cry if SE doesn't add any of the gear I like to the game....

I DO KNOW, however, that the most sought after collectors items from previous FF titles, and the items that embody the FF feel are the weapons that are absolutely ridiculous looking....

worst case scenario, the mods and devs never see this thread... I'm ok with that

I'm really not asking them to fix anything... just keep outlandishness in mind when coming up with new gear... thats all...
they are indeed making new gear... they always will be.... I'd just like it if they could go a little crazy with the designs... Seems like it would be more fun for the artists also...

they doesn't work against the game improvements....

If I said my favorite foods are Asian cuisine, that doesn't mean I am bashing burgers and fries...

Not everyone likes the whole futuristic concepts like gunblades and such, but I am chill with the Garleans having em makes total sense. I would like weapons to be better looking, and not overly gaudy. Like in XI homam was the gaudiest gear they had but it was still pretty epic looking to me and not overly gaudy in my opinion also. Why can't SE bring a lil of that flair back for gear and weapons.
