That information should still be good. 2.1 did not change much about crafting.

You have a really good start on the required skills. The two most important skills for you to add are probably Ingenuity (15 BSM) and Byregot's Blessing (50 CRP). Ingenuity makes your synthesis actions roughly twice as effective on starred recipes, and Byregot's Blessing is, unfortunately, the only way to consistently fill up more than half the quality bar on starred items. I don't think there is any way to consistently HQ starred items without these two skills.

Manipulation is a strong ability, but you can always use Master's Mend in its place if you need to, and while Tricks of the Trade is a phenomenal leveling skill -- maybe even the best leveling skill -- at level fifty most people work to develop a static rotation that doesn't depend on condition.
