Something missing, for an FF Title... Hilarious Status Effects

Remember when it meant the world, when you got the Ribbon item?

Where are the annoying (but hilarious) effects like Frog and Small?

Wouldn't that be a kicker, you're doing a run and suddenly POOF right in the middle of the fight someone's croaking... because they're inadvertently amphibian?

The closest-in-spirit I've seen to Frog-type shenanigans are the Apkallu that attack by projectile-vomiting sardines in your face.

Wouldn't you like to buy a "Frog Bomb" to use on friends? Heh heh heh... "Piff!" "RIBBIT!"

As a status effect inflicted by an enemy, maybe.

Inflicted by a player cause he/she grinded an event, should never happen! Ask LotrO players and the odissey they with force emotes...

It wouldn't bother me too much. I could see it getting annoying but as long as you were not in combat and could have an option to
opt out of playing games like this with other players.

Yeah... it would be nice to have some of those other cool status ailments in game.

Frog would be cool - as would Tiny!

Siren (in Pharos Sirius) has a unique status effect - it turns your allies against you. It's a love/confuse kinda thing.

This would be Charm

Charm (チャーム, Chāmu?), also known as Entice, is a recurring Status Effect in the Final Fantasy series. A charmed character temporarily fights for the opposing side. In games where it appears, the Charm status is distinct from the Confuse status. It is more dangerous then Confuse as there is usually no way to cure it other than to kill the caster or the victim.

I can see it happen, later on in FFXI there were monsters which indeed charmed you and put you in a "costume" (Frogs that turned you into one and later on Vampyr mobs that would turn you into a bat.)

How about Zombie?

Also a status effect in FFXI, although not as you described.
All cures just stopped having any effect and the only way to get rid of it was to transfer it to the white mage with Sacrifice.

FFXI had those charms and were cool the first time, They then became annoying. It be to much drama from the FFXIV crowd and the mmo crowd that playing the game now . There to much of a pin hole of DPS system now so i would not see how that would run.
