Ifrit Extreme, Searing Wind and Healer

I been wondering for a while, when searing accident happen, is it a dps responsibility to move out of the way or is it healer job to made sure they are far away from dps and tank? I ask this because I often build Ifrit farmign pt on party finder... sometime the run is so perfect no one get sear at all and sometime it is searing all over carnival.

Whenever searing hit people healer will start saying dps NEED to learn be out of the way. However, sometime there is no choice in the heat of battle; like with slightly mis-stacked eruption.

I think it's the DDs responsability. Healers have it hard enough without having to avoid that random black mage.

At least, when I died to it, I blamed myself only.

It goes both ways and being alert and communication b4 the start of how you want run it. I done both dps n healer roles, when things get heated, as long people pay attention, it be ok.

Ifrit requires both the healer & DPS to not be completely retarded.

    TL;DR

It's mostly on the healers. When doing Eruptions, it's on the DPS. When on the nails, it's the healers.

as a healer i usually use a macro that make a sound, put a big X on my head and ask people to get away from me
so that DPS can clearly see where not to go as I dont move when i have seering wind
it's their fault if they come at my place

it is only healer's if you do not rotate when you have close range dps
if everybody is ranged, one healer left, 1 right and no need to move
if close range dps the seering wind healer usually go west while the DPS start killing clockwise
next seering healer should then go in the spot where the nails got destroyed
this is usually when DPS can get it if healer transition is done badly or if the DPS are too slow on the nails

I would say both, dps need to be aware which healer have searing wind, and healer need to move especially during nail phase when dps need to kill the nail in that area. If the healer doesn't move during nail phase, the dps will end up either accidentally eating searing wind or they will have to ping pong here and there to kill the nail.

The above post is exactly what my FC does, relocate if there are melee, stay if all range dps
Did two DF last night and both the healer never move from their east and west location, in a team with 3 melee dps, facepalm.jpg

    It's mostly the healer's responsibility.

My preferred strat is to have both healers stand on the right side and wait for the first searing wind, then the non-debuffed healer moves to the middle. The debuffed healer stays on the right side and heals MT while the one in the center takes care of AoE heals. During nail phase, DPS clear nails counter-clockwise and once the left side of the room is clear, the debuffed healer should be on the left instead of the right.

The alternate strat is to have one healer on each side but that just seems to confuse DPS and is more trouble than it's worth.

    Its on both, honestly.

The DPS for not paying attention to which heal has Howl

The Heals for being out of position or for not moving to the side of the arena DPS aren't working on

If its an Eruption screw-up, its all on the DPS, but Nails, as long as the DPS move to the correct side at the beginning, the Heals should move to ensure Howl isn't going to be an issue

    Tips.
    1. Healers don't move during nails/eruptions DD do.
    2. Ranged clump in the very center for Cure IIIs during nails.
    3. Ignore the chain and have the off tank kill the front nails.
    4. The howled healer needs to stand on the far end during plumes/dashes
    5. DD need to be inside ifrits red circle for the eruption phase and run straight backwards, not towards the healer. if done properly there's enough room to just stop at the end if needed.
