[Suggestion] Logging and Mining targeting resources

This is specific to DOL Logging and Mining.

I feel these recommendations could make DOL (Mining and Logging) a more desirable class without overpowering it when it comes to gather, it also rewards those that have attained higher levels when logging lower Grade areas.

    Target Resources of lower grade
For the most part it appears that grades (based on abilities like Arbor Call) are based on 8's (Grade 2= 8, Grade 3=18, grade 4 = 28, etc).
Using this as a basis I recommend abilities that allow you to target specific types of resources or allow you to not get lower (less desirable resources based on ability used).

Below are logging examples that can be applied to Mining.

Ability = Target type I (which you get at level 28)
This ability would show # of tree types in 100 yalm area for Grade 3.
This ability would show direction of Grade 2 or Grade 1 log type 100 yalm (there are few active logging points in 100 yalms).
To consider (show star (similar to retainer search) over a selected log type for Grade 1 (2 Grades below your current skill).

Ability = Target Log I which you get at level 28
This ability would increase the likely hood of gaining Logs in Grade 3 areas
This ability would target only Logs in Grade 2 areas
This ability would target only Logs and increase the likely hood of HQ logs in Tier 1 areas

Either reduce the distance between logging points or increase SP on successful log

Currently logging within the optimal Grade covered by Arbor Call brings horrid SP (less than 100) combine that with the fact that you get a limited number of chances to strike a logging spot, and that you have to run 150-300+ yalms to find the next logging point makes logging extremely slow to skill up

    1. If you just increase SP make it 150-200SP within the optimal logging range (based on the 8s)
    2. If you move the logging points that are active closer together 100 yalms or less then leaving the sp as it is would be reasonable

    I'm really confused by this.

We already have abilities to increase HQ chance (Master of Rock/Timber/Sea).
We already have abilities to increase chance to get logs, or whatever item we are targeting in the notch. (Truth of Mountains, Field Mastery)
We have abilities to locate nodes of every grade.

Distance between nodes is fine, from my PoV.
At times you can setup an awesome triangle, and not have to run more then 50 yalms to each node, and other times, yes you will have to hike a distance, but if it's to far, boom, now you get a run speed increase. (which they reduced the cool down on)

For optimal traingle formation consider the following:
-Use off hand nodes for quick/static points. These do not move, so keep their location in mind, and when nodes are close, use them for a quick harvesting point.
-Any point of the triangle can be from any of the 6 node based harvesting types.
-You do not need to complete a node to move onto a more desirable node/loot table. If you do not complete a node however, you will need a 4th point, or fishing body of water, to close the last point, before you can return to your first.

The only time you should be seeing SP under 100 on success are at ranks, 15-17/25-27/35-37/44-50.
Since you didn't link your account, I'm gonna assume you are likely R26-27. This is when the SP per rank really starts to increase, and when SP per success is lower. You're maybe R35, and it definitely can be frustrating at that point as well, but just remember, it only gets worse after R40. hahahaha >.>

As always good feedback from Purplenv...

As is stated you can target logs pretty easy by selecting the right trees and the right sweet spot.

Check this list for most sweetspots: http://www.disciplesoftheland.com/fo...?g=posts&t=230

You have to give him credit. He's rank 50 in almost every DoL and thats the most boring discipline of them all lol. Either he has a creepy fixation for Animal Crossing, or he's on lots of valium lol.
