PS3 here and I still love the game. Can't wait for PS4 version, It should run just as good as most PC's.
PS3 player, as that is my only option (seeing as my 10 year old comp nearly died trying to play the character creator benchmark....the character creator, not the actual FMV benchmark :I) :P
Im not much a graphics whore, but I am an artist- the sheer amount artistry and care to detail is more than enough to satisfy my need for beauty. You dont need 1080p 60FPS to see that the world drawn by XIV's many artists is as beautiful in 3d, as it was originally on paper.
As for actual gameplay, Im playing archer/bard for the sake that I am playing on PS3, and I would probably get alot of flack if I rolled as a tank or healer in a random dungeon (tho I have considered playing gladiator at some point...). I keep several potions on me, to help healer load, and instead of relaying on my wifi, I keep my ps3 plugged into an ethernet at all times, to insure that my internet doesnt accidentally drop on me mid-instance. Im even trying to watch various YT videos, to try and learn how to use marcos, so I can play a little faster (granted, marcos are confusing as heck....)
Not in so much of a rush to get the ps4 version, as I normally dont get brand new consoles until it's 3rd year (unless there is something I really REALLY want on it...). Unless the devs drops support for the ps3, then I would probably be more incline to get the ps4...
This is also my first mmo, and im so far enjoying it. Ive had XIV for about 3 weeks now and Im just a couple lvls from level cap. Just started beast man dailies, and got my first mythology tomes the other day. Looking forward to the rest of the game :3
On ps3 :3

And this the war began.....
All I'll say is, you'd never know I was on the PS3 by playing with me
