Feel like I'm doing something wrong.

So, I'm level 29 on my Lancer, and I'm running aorund, following the main story, and doing any missions I see as I go. All of my missions are either at my level, or one to two below.

I keep dying, however, when I'm doing a quest, and have anymore than 2 mobs on me, it's more or less game over, even when using hi-potions to try and save myself.

What exactly am I doing wrong?

Are you dodging AoE attacks. You should be able to easily manage 2/3 monsters around 1 or 2 levels higher than you are.

My gear is all level 20-29. I jsut double checked, and it's the best I have access to. Checked the market board, and vendors

According to lodestone, your accessories could use updating. Try running Toto Rak a few times too, Get yourself some better armour. As of right now, your wearing the standard vendor bought eq. There are much better pieces available inside the dungeons.

Isn't the armor that drops in dungeons jsut the green armor you cna find on the market board? If so, I already checked, and the only upgrade is the helm, and just barely.

While no expert my comments would be
- run dungeons to get way better Armour. Even greens are better than vendor.
- are you using your skills correctly ie from flank/behind etc?
- are you using skills in order to trigger attack bonus's?
- are you applying your buff skills as well?
- have you attached cross class skills?

I would assume by level 29 you are doing most of that, so armor is the big one.

I cant check loadstone as it had not updated as it still has you as lvl 26.

Only certain green items can be sold on the market boards. Most of it cannot. Even the aetherial (pink) armour would be a significant upgrade to what you have atm.

The confusing thing for me is, I looked at green armor on the market board, and all of it was a huge defense loss. But I just unlocked Haukke manor, and will run it a few times to get all the gear I can.
