The other day I was watching my friend play Everquest 2, he was showing me his griffin mount, which I thought was cool. This got me thinking about what the devs have said about not wanting to give us the same tired mount system we had in FFXI, and I started to wonder if flight by chocobo may be possible in the future.

There is precedence for it in the series, in FFV and FFIX you get a black chocobo that allows you to fly around the world. With how large they made the zones in FFXIV, one has to wonder if the devs were thinking about aerial travel when they made that comment about mounts. Anyway, just thought I'd check if people were in favor of seeing aerial mounts like black chocobos somewhere down the line, or if the community thinks we should remain ground-based, like in FFXI.
