There are PF FC applications now...? I should get in on that!
"FC LFM! SURVIVE SASTASHA AND YOU'RE IN!"

1 - fun is not allowed, because...
2 - MMORPG is serious business.

Tell me about it.
I have a friend that wanted me to join an end game raiding type FC/guild so we could do endgame stuff together. I was like, "Sure, let me talk to some officers first so we can see if I would be a good fit, can make the playtimes, etc."
Nope, I had to fill out an application first on their guild website before I could contact an officer. I thought it was kind of strange, but since my friend was already part of the raiding guild I decided to humor him and went to the website, looked at this application...it was ten pages long.
Ten. Pages. Long. (Only the half of the first page even asked about what your class and in game availability were. The rest was useless crap.)
I've filled out job applications and mortgage paperwork that was shorter than that guild application.
No, I didn't bother to fill it out. I was able to make a party of random players and tackle the content I wanted in less time that it would have taken to fill out that application.
LOUISOIX DIED SO YOU COULD PLAY 2.O

Wow. I've nothing further to add. This is spot on. My God, that's kind of depressing.1) If you are a tank, being mean is mandatory. You are also free to run ahead of everyone and get yourself killed. It's their fault for not keeping up.
2) Everyone else is a bad player. You are not. The fact that the party happens to win a dungeon after you complain and quit and they get a replacement is completely irrelevant.
3) Everybody knows all fights before they have done them even once. Watching a video beforehand is mandatory and completely normal, just as it was back in the day when you played offline Playstation games and the first thing you did after sticking in the disk was whip open a GameFAQ's site, because obviously figuring out anything by yourself is just a waste of time and you will feel much prouder after accomplishing something you had full instructions on how to complete without needing to have any skill beyond reading / video watching comprehension.
4) Lag is fake. Since you don't have it, it is absolutely impossible for anyone else to have it. They are just bad players.
5) No fight is tough. All you need to do is dodge. If a player gets hit by any enemy move, they are simply a bad player. It is obvious, since you have never died yourself. Or if you have, it wasn't your fault. Some other player in your party caused your death.
6) Dungeons that drop iLVL55 gear needs to be completed by people in iLVL90 gear. This is clearly the way the game was designed.
You must rush to level cap as fast as possible, then go to forums to complain story is too short.
Also crafting is not for use whilst leveling to make your own gear, but only to be used after you've gotten to 50 with multiple jobs.
I would take offense to this, but it's totally true. Whenever I do anything 8-man, someone else always, immediately decides they are the MT and runs off without a word. I guess I'm too nice to MT.

Being a slow tank is not okay, tanks should wait for the party but they also shouldn't take a million years to wait for party members before they pull. Wait the time it takes to put icons above monsters heads and then pull.

^^ This one irritates me to no end - The game is full of impatient people who are further encouraged to be so due to the game's spoon-feeding content progression. It's because of this that I stay away from DF and PF as much as possible.3) Everybody knows all fights before they have done them even once. One of my best memories in ARR thus far was the day after 2.1, I got some friends together and we all ran Pharos Sirius and Haukke Manor (HM) without any of us knowing a thing about them. We wiped many times, but every time it was full of discussion and theory on the bosses which lead to experimentation, new strategies, and eventually a truly rewarding and meaningful victory.

Trolling in CT is a must as it makes a relatively easy and fun experience more cumbersome and painful to endure. So if no one is trolling in CT please do your part by spamming sfx and flooding the chat log with unnecessary text. /sarcasm
Note* these are the people I hate the most and the sad part is I met one of them in CT, we talked as to why he does it and he does it because he thinks its funny. Needless to say if I met a person like that in real life I'd break their teeth and it won't be the last time I do it either. RL sucks enough as it is, don't bring that shit into the game. /endrant
