SE just copy FFXI in FFXIV

Because changing the name to AH would be a massive card to market XIV to those who have left the game! What do YOU care if they do?
Personally it's all the same to me as long as I don't need to enter the MW system ever again but I DO care about the almost non existent player-base this game has for a free to play game.

I will admit that a direct sequel to FFXI would be nice, especially if we could get the whole world this time and not be limited by the PS2. I went back to FFXI after not liking FFXIV and it was different. Some of the changes were good, Abyssea was fun the first few time, then it got boring. Tried to go back after Unicorn was merged and I logged in only twice, the new Voidwatch system doesn't interest me at all.

FFXIV should grow into it's own game, sure you can go and take some elements of FFXI, or any other game for that matter. But just FFXI did attract a large following at one point it was #3 in mmo in the world, it just didn't adapt to the new reality of mmo quickly enough to retain all of them.

Awesome idea FFXI-2 would make my dreams complete and if ppl didnt like it they could bounce. But sadly i think our time of living, breathing worlds in mmos has died for a few years at least.

I think just make party can be great. Too tough in FFXIV to do party. Play with everyone in the world was great. Not just the little group of your LS.

FFXIV a lot of interesting ideas, potential, a main storyline that I've enjoyed so far, and a battle-system that I really liked. Unfortunately, they seem set on removing most of the things that I do enjoy about the game.

FFXIV had only 1 interesting idea...Cross Classing skills, and even that was poorly done. They're removing things in favor of something to attract many more. Stamina system? Cool, but Haste and Slow barely worked with it especially given the fact everything is serverside, so a server delay can render Haste and Slow useless.

FFXIV falls into this category for the grand majority (almost 670k people bought this game and not even a quarter are left playing it while free.)

Not to mention:

If I've reached level 20 and haven't been enjoying it, I'm not going to force myself to continue playing it just because it may start getting better.

Guess what? Many people just load up the game and quit because they have to force themselves to play through a lot of glaring flaws. It "may get better" at higher levels, but guess what? If it's like stripping fingernails just to level you won't enjoy it, and more than 580k people didn't.

I find it to be enjoyable enough that I want to continue playing.

Many find FFXI enjoyable "through it's flaws" or it wouldn't have survived 9 years, FFXIV though? Is dangerously close to not surviving, nor was it going anywhere a month after release, especially with harsh reviews.

The "trollishness" of my response doesn't make it any less true. I can say FFXIV is ass, but at the very least I actually spent a decent amount of time playing it and continue to keep up with it so that I can back up all the shit I talk instead of just speaking mindlessly about something I know nothing about.

Players will never be satisfied because they all have played FFXI. We just need a copy of FFXI with better graphic. Nothing to add.

probably said already by someone in here... nope not gonna search within the thread... gonna say it again... it's some really small stuff so it doesn't need to get implemented right away, it just adds little bit more feel to the game, that's all... FFXI had this, I didn't really care much for it back then but because of FFXI I got used to it and when I couldn't in FFXIV it scared the crap out of me I was gonna miss it...
