Question about player voices.

Edit for clarity: Will all voices ever be available universally across all genders? Such as a male Hyur having access to the voices for all male Miqo'te, Elezen, Roegadyn and Lalafell. It would be nice if all female races had access to all the voice options as well.

I think I understand what you mean but, the voices of each race are kind of representative of their characters.

Hyur sound like Hyur and etc. Though the differences between the voices are rather minor between races, I still recognize the differences.

For instance a Lala starts going "Yay, yay, yay YAY!" behind you, and you know for sure it's a Lala, no mistake!

Many of the voices overlap for each gender's races, so I don't see how it would be a problem to further extend what voice options player can choose from.

I'm not so sure I agree about combining existing voices to more races. It would be easy to do but still, if they did, I would feel the designers were just taking an easy way out.

However I do agree that more voices are a good idea!

When making a Hyur, I have to agree some of the voices just didn't fit. In fact, some of the deeper female voices for the midlanders I have *NEVER* seen used lol. It's always the higher/cuter ones.

As for the lalas with deep voices, sure it doesn't fit, but neither does facial hair on them...both are HILARIOUS though!

I'm not sure I'd like if all of the voices were available to all of the races. As others have mentioned… it'd be pretty ridiculous to have a Lalafell with a Roe voice and vice versa.

However, a wider spectrum in voices would be nice. I play a Miqote and I can't stand how childish the voices sound. I wouldn't mind a quiet, mature voice option.

I agree with having more voices. Most of the voices annoy the hell out of me, so I never choose them. This just leaves me picking the same ones over and over.

More options - No downsides... If you don't like it don't use it... I agree to have all male voices universal (I'd even be up for cross gender universal voices LOL that'd be fun)

One of the main reasons this would be a good idea is because some of the battle cries are annoying and it would be nice if we could preview those in the voice selection window, as well as have the option to use the voices from other races and try those to see if they sound better.
