Darklight cowl of casting (insufficient armor space)

I just bought my dark light armour for summoner level 50 (Dark Cowl of Casting). When I try to put it on it say, "unable to equip. insufficient armour space." I have three open blocks. Can someone please fix this for me. Also my first initial issue with the mission a relic reborn for a smn had never been resolved, I have the "erudite's pictarix of casting" gerolt ask's me for and he still has a red lock over his head. It's been over three weeks, I don't want to be but I'm getting very disappointed with they way the situation is being handled. Will it take another 3 weeks for this issue. Please help.

Do you have an open HAT space? And did you meld the book with the 2 specific materia requested? I believe they were savage might 3

I was able to equip the armour by removing an item with the head equipment, by my issue with completing A Relic Reborn has not been resolved.

As mentioned above - the majority of the "issues" with relic quest weapons is that they're melded incorrectly (with wrong amount / type / tier of materia) or not even melded at all.

this is what i use for materia requirements. note matera MUST BE GRADE III. any lower OR higher will not work. That is the most common issue when turning stuff in.

I have melded the book. I have two savage arm materia iii on it still a no go. No one has gone in a fixed this issue it's been several weeks. I brought this issue up a month ago. It's definitely an issue with the mission because it asks me to find the broken weapon in slyphlands, which I never found, the mission says I have the broken weapon deliver it to Gerolt, but then again says bring him the book melded with the materia which I have and there is still a red key over his head. Any suggestions? I really want to get past this mission.

It's supposed to be savage might.

Also, you can't have it equipped when trading iirc.
