Short and sweet cuz I'm very angry right now: was in CT, Alliance A had 4 melee dps. Wiped 3x on Atomos, we almost had it the 3rd time. Someone Vote Abandoned, I clicked no, the Vote went through and I was booted.

While I disagree that is has to go all together, the 50% vote needed is BS. Should be at least a 75% or so majority. Basically two people can go together into a dungeon with the intent of kicking everyone just before the last boss and there's nothing that can be done about it.
people wanted it, knowing people will abuse it.

I was in an instance where the healer was kicked at the end boss. Wth. The other two said it was because he was terrible and wasted an hour of our time. I voted no because even if that were true we can still get tomes for it. Of course, right when he was kicked, everyone else left.
75% would be nice.
I think it's just tough luck, the majority will decide. But I've been in alliances where parties intelligently trade some members on the atamos fight to help out those struggling so maybe this could be suggested as an alternative to quitting.
The person who starts the vote isn't included in the count. You'd need three trolls for a light party or five for a full party. While I disagree that is has to go all together, the 50% vote needed is BS. Should be at least a 75% or so majority. I wonder why they still haven't figured out that members that queue together should not have the same weight as a person who queued alone...

Introducing an easy way to quit to a community that gives up easily and often at the slightest mistake or shortfall.
So let's be honest, who's surprised?
Another decent/good idea poorly implemented. All they had to do was make it require a supermajority but no~.
I don't get why people have a hard time with melee on Atomos. Tanks take turn grabbing adds. Tank drags the add to the SIDE of the platform, so that the dps is attacking the side. And as long as the tank does his/their job right, and the platform and people at Atomos isn't getting his by aoes, then you only need 1 healer. Guess what? Automatic Cleric Stance ranged dps.
As far as Vote Abandon, well, people will try to get around any system possible so that it can benefit them. Or some just want to ruin the fun of others. MMOs can't eliminate every single method a moron is going to use to cheat themselves through something or grief someone else. It may need to be tweaked some. Today had someone (it won't say who) constantly tried to vote abandon. We got through it despite all of the mess ups, and even got the fourth coffer at the end. Which, there was this one person that wouldn't Need on it until the very last second, hoping people would get impatient and leave. Again, people will use any system available for their own benefit (maybe people will get fed up and leave, increasing the troll's chances of the loot) or they did it to grief people (let the timer run out without even Need or Greed). We can't idiot proof a community.

You can swap members with with other alliances...
