solution: you can make a alt and have perfect stats on each class , like that you will also have to work for each job , not getting 2 for price of 1

Well tbh... if 30 points is going to make or break my ability to play one or the other im probably not good at either... If all else fails ill just go play whm.

True, but as more and more jobs are added for each class.. more and more choices will have to be made and the "one character with all classes/jobs" will start feeling more and more restrictive/suffocating.

I agree, since 30 points do not make or break the game.

If it does "break the game" for you then just level WHM and BLM. Also dont ever level your chocobo, too many choices and no reset yet, you might have a breakdown.

I think it is only restrictive to bad players. It will not and should not restrict in any way. there is no "you need 500 VIT to enter this dungeon" Sure you wont deal as much damage as the guy with 30 INT allocated but hey when that 4k hit comes around you will be glad you have those 30 VIT points.

I say the same thing every time this conversation pops up. The Armoury System lets you play every job. Not every job EQUALLY EFFICIENTLY. Eventually all classes will branch off to two jobs and you'll have to pick stats for them, too. Choose.

Didn't feel this way in FFXI lol - Only issue prior to Mog Case and Porter Mog was inventory space.

I am unfamiliar to how FFXI worked, how did it work ?
I know you could be any job as you can here (it had no "classes"), but how did stats work ? What was the "similar" thing there ?

    Thanks.

I'll take it one step farther.

Remove the entire bonus points system.

It's one of those "illusion of choice" issues that really creates more problems than it addresses.

Ask yourself, honestly. If it never existed, would you even care?

I mean I hate to say this just like this but Hymn's thats what I plan on doing. I'm stacking them up right now so far I have 12 just sitting on my retainer, and I plan on having way more than that. Anyways, my point is you have an option, and its kinda a big deal to swap so It's not as easy as switching weapons.

This is what I plan on doing, but I'll only level one job sch/smn until 50 and use hymns then when i decide i need to

I am a winner, even though I sometimes fail.

Personally i would love the merits system here but you still have to chose what skills enhanced and what abilities to upgrade and unlock http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Category:Merit_Points
