    PC Controller Suggestions

I have been using PS3 since early access and now have a Windows sub as well. Being that I don't love the mouse/keyboard combo, what controllers work well for Windows 8?

I plugged in the PS3 controller and my computer recognizes it, but it doesn't work on the game. I tried motionjoy with zero luck.

Any suggestions on something easy to use that is close to PS3 controller? Many have suggested Xbox controller but not sure if that too requires downloading drivers in the hopes they work.

Any help is much appreciated :-)

I should also mention I researched Snakebyte, but the general reviews seem tepid. Some great and some bad. I'm very 50/50 on buying it right now. I'm hoping there's a better alternative.

I use the motioninjoy driver. The secret is that there is button in the DS3 Tool that you have to click that actually downloads and installs the driver.

I think it's under the driver tab. Once you do this, look up "Better DS3" and download it from it's website. It's a better controller for the driver.

Another alternative now that PS4 is out is to just buy a DS4 as it doesn't require 3rd party drivers.

I was a PS3 user (unplayable for many different reasons) and I recently switched to the PC version.
I decided to opt for the Xbox360 controller in its "PC" version (sold with drivers both in cabled/wifi version). It works perfectly and the game recognized it immediatly.

    Any Xinput controller will work.

Actually the DS4 needs an Xinput wrapper to work properly with this game. Easy enough to Google.

I'm using DS3 Tools / MotionInJoy (same thing) and it works perfectly, just hard to configure the first time (need to tweak some mapping for the axis to work correctly)
Works fine with USB wire or Bluetooth.

    That's just a tool.

    Like DS3Tool, or Better DS3.

The difference is it uses drivers that are already supported and made Microsoft.

Better DS3/DS3Tool both work the MotionInJoy driver. Which is a 3rd party driver that has no affiliation with Microsoft or Sony at all.
