Anyone not so excited for 2.2 and the future of this game?

I'm pretty happy with the game. It has an enjoyable atmosphere. Structured well. The game play suits my work schedule. I'm able to make a few steps forward each day, even on my own, and the progress is palpable. Anonymous cooperation can sometimes be stressful, but it works more often than not. The story is fun and amusing at times. I see no reason to change course, but there is nothing wrong with branching out either.

I think the game already has plenty of fast easy progression for every class.

Adding slow long term goals and quests wouldn't make this suddenly a korean mmo.

Variety is always good but this game needs more long-term goals too in addition to all the fast stuff players just blast through in minutes.

Again Dark Souls leads by example, little to no grinding in that game :>
You can grind if you want, but it's not necessary for anything

& yet it still lasts 1000s of hours, truely shocking :>

If only this game could be so grossly incandescent like Dark Souls...

It's the pertinent half for the hardcore gamers. Coil 2!
As long as they kept the same idea they were going with for the early Coil 2 armor sketches, I'll be around at least long enough to collect the full tank set.

You need to play Dark Souls, it's easily the best game this generation, and possibly ever made (IMO)
& the sequel is shaping up to best it in nearly every way

It depends on what you like, not everyone like having content as hardcore and frustating as Dark Souls.
