Internet speed/ping check for duties

I don't even know if something like this is possible but i'd like to see what people think of it.

In many high level duties where not dodging an attack is not an option in like say... Titan's landslide just as an example, people can't dodge attacks because to their testimony, their internet is ether too slow or their ping is too high. Is it possible to implement a speed check of some kind in the duty finder? Kind of like gear level check?

It's a kind of discrimination that SE probably won't take on.

And if you've ever played on a further data center you'll know sometimes that latency is just there. Since SE officially caters to the EU people using their US datacenter, such a discrimination would be a slap on their own face, so I think it's very unlikely.

Well atleast if they blame lag for dying you can actually check if they were lagging

No the problem is being 0/17 on Titan (hard) because one or more people with (maybe) a bad connection ruined it for the entire group every time. You can't tell me that this hasn't happened to you at least once. Perhaps 99% of people who say it are just lying. I don't know. I'm a word reader not a mind reader. At least I produced an idea.

The duty won't let you in without 8 people...

Also, assuming you were even able to get in with just 4 people, it would only take one person to mess it up. I mention this point for the 3rd time...

I will agree with you on one thing though. The duty finder doesn't produce quality very often. I think I will do what you did. Form a group on my own server with people I know (once our gear is good enough of course.)Thank you for the input.
