    Did you not notice the HUGE animated doll of her she was using? I can definitely see that thing being filled with several years worth of content. XD

    But seriously, I don't think that was an HD model of Shantotto they made for the event. Maybe it's just because I never played FFXI for several years like some other people and the models are even lower definition than I thought, but she didn't exactly look to be rendered in the same definition as the rest of the game...

    FFXIV already looks like FFXI. All they did was rename the races and many mobs in the game are from ffxi.

    It was probably the same model, with some newer lighting effects on it that the renderer does anyway.

    Also I get what the devs are doing cross over from FF11 so wasn't expecting a big change in the model.
